I have read some of the past posts about Laser Hair, but wanted some more recent. I am looking into getting laser hair removal, but need to find a place. If you have any advice please let me know. I would like the good, bad and the ugly if possible. I live in the Allen area. Thanks!

I'm not sure laser removes it permanently. Electrolysis is the better way to go according to some articles.

I had it done several years ago in 2 spots. I did my upper lip and it helped a little bit, but I still get lots of hair there and I now wax. The other spot I did, I have very little hair and barely notice it, I think I shave it twice a year or something.

During my treatments, I noticed a burning (I could feel something and it did hurt) and I could smell the hair burning. I also had bumps for about 2 weeks after (not on my lip though). I did have redness in both spots immediately following treatment. I think I did 6 treatments on both locations.

In my opinion, I don't really think it gets rid of hair permantently like they claim. And, if you do decide to do it, I would definately go to a doctor's office. There are so many doctors that do it now.

I am doing laser hair removal via Ideal Image. They are very proefssional and I haven't had any issues. I don't know how their prices compare, as it was a gift from my husband (I didn't do research). They have a few locations - I live in Allen as well and go to their Frisco location. They also provide numbing cream which helps after the first or second treatment!

I just had my second treatment, I went with American Laser Center in Plano. What sold me about them was their two year, after treatment warranty. That means that after your sixth treatment if any hair grows back within two years they will treat you for free. They also match any price from another place. I have felt no pain during treatment they have a machine that cools your skin as they're doing the laser and therefor no pain. I have had no side affects either the only thing that I was worried about the shaving inbetween treatments but Taylor the manager suggested this tiny razors and they work wonderful. Hope this helps, let me know if you go there they have a friend referral program. C.

Hi A.-

I have laser hair removal at Celebrity Day Spa @ Craig Ranch in McKinney. I had 6 treatments a year ago-and very little regrowth. (Bikini line/brazilian). I would say it not a complete 100% removal, probably about 80%. But they also have a re-treat policy for any regrowth after treatment is finished. They have some good specials right now as well. The treatments themselves were not too uncomfortable-slight stinging. And they put on a cooling gel after treatment that feels great! I had redness for about 48 hours, then nothing. Good luck.

Hi,

I would highly recommend Rejuve med spa. They are the official med-spa for the Dallas cowboys cheerleaders. They have the new pain free laser machine that I tried and can honestly say that it is pain free. Here is their website.
