I had LASIK done 6 yrs ago and absolutely love it. it was fast, simple and pretty much pain free. The only time it bothered me was a couple hours after cause they get dry, but i just took a nap and when i woke up it was good to go. I went to Lasik Vision, in Phx, they were very nice and made me feel very comfortable bout the entire thing. It took 30 seconds each eye and when i sat up i could see the clock on the wall, clear. My dad also got it done at Lasik Vision and hasnt had any problems, his was before mine. My brother was the first one to do it, he went to Nationwide Vision Center, he liked them, and he has had no problems and he is a fireman so his sight needs to be good. When i went to Nationwide for a consultation, before i chose Lasik Vision, they didnt make me feel comfortable about the surgery, they didnt explain things clearly. I just didnt like them. Not sure if there are to many actual places out here in the east valley that do them, i think it is Swagel Wooten that is on Power and Broadway, i have heard good things about them, but nothing personally.

Good Luck@!

Last December I went to Lasik Plus Dr. Gabriel Perry & got Lasik (intralase) and it was fantastic! I have been seeing 20/20 since and I was BLIND (contacts were -5.5). If you want more detailed info. send me a message, I blogged about it so I can give you more details copy/paste.

All I can pass onto you at this time is Stay away from Southwestern Eye Clinic. They made some serious mistakes on my sis-in-law with her caterat surgery and she lost her vision in one eye. But I know there are some really good Dr. in the Valley.

I got Lasik 3 years ago through Schwartz Laser Eye Center www.schwartzlaser.com I researched tons of the different lasik facilities and found Dr. Schwartz to be the best out there. He also does all the Phx. Suns, AZ Diamond Backs and Coyotes teams eyes as well. He is located in N. Scottsdale, but I felt my eyes were worth the drive. Good luck, and you will LOVE your decision to get Lasik. :)
