Hi Ladies - I have rec'd such great & supportive responses from my previous question about being over 35 & pregnant, that I have decided to again come to the experts (you, other moms)for advice on how to tell my parents, my mother-in-law, & siblings that we are expecting #3. Last time I took a picture with my son wearing a t-shirt that said "I'm the big brother" along with the first ultrasound picture then framed them in a 2 slot frame. I sent one to my parents who live out of state & presented the other to my husband's mom when she was over visiting one day. It was fun & they all seemed to like it. I then emailed a picture of the framed pictures to our other family & close friends to let them know about baby #2. I want to do something creative again this time. But am at a loss of what to do... Any suggestions? My oldest is 5 now & #2 is 2 1/2. Thanks again for your input.

I only have two boys, but I think if it was me, I'd put the "big brother" shirt on my second child and send that picture. I thought of sandwich kind of shirt, to show he'd be in the middle, but I don't know how it would work out. I also once saw a shirt on an obviously pregnant woman that had a baby drawn on the shirt, and it read "Coming soon to a hospital near you." It was hand made, actually, maybe you could put a pillow under your shirt if it's big and actually wear it later on, or maybe just make a little baby in a smaller shirt that you can wear now.
Just an idea on how I'd do it if I was to have another baby. Good luck and congratulations!

When we announced #2, I went out and bought a "Big Brother" shirt. I then took several pictures of my son in the shirt and emailed them to the grandparents out of state. My parents didn't catch on until my father realized what my son's shirt said. That's about the time they called us ecstatic about the news and wanted to know when.

Congratulations on the newest part of your family!

Congratualtions! I got a really cute frame that said grandkids on it. Or you can always get the wood letters from the craft store and glue them on a frame. Inside the frame I put a piece of paper that said "Photo of Baby (last name) due to arrive in May". Both sets of grandparents really liked it and they were really excited to choose a picture of our daughter to put in it once she was born. Good Luck!

You could have your 5 year old draw a picture of his family...and then add a baby in your arms (or if you've told him about it have him draw it). Just a thought...

My brother is having a baby and to announce it, he and his wife bought a pair of baby shoes and wrapped them up for the Grandparents & Great Grandparents to open. My grandmother loved it!! She plans to send back the booties to them when the baby is born, but she is keeping them until then so she can show them off. Good luck and Congrats!

My cousin sent fortune cookies with the announcement of their first baby and with their second the sent everyone a deflated balloon that you had to blow up and then pop. Once the balloon was popped, it had a message that rhymed inside about baby number two and confetti. We all thought it was so cute. Congratulations!

I scanned my pg test stick and emailed that picture with the caption "save the date!" and then my due date. Most people loved it though a couple of our single friends were grossed out at the thought of the stick I had peed on...

Buy a blank card with a baby on the front, K., as many as you need.

Inside write, "Congrats Grandma & Grandpa, for the third time!" (or Auntie, or whoever the card is going to) and have you, your husband, and the two lucky big brothers sign each card, and mail them off. :)

Or, make a video of you telling your sons, and upload it to YouTube, email those you want to know with the link to the video and say in the email, "I found this cute video online; enjoy!"

Let us know what you decide to do! I'm sure we're ALL curious now.
