I need to find a daycare for my 3 year old. I'm looking for friendly teachers, a clean place and hopefully a small teacher-student ratio where she can get better attention from her teachers. basically I just want her to have a good time there. I also would prefer a school or daycare where teachers have some sort of degree, or at least with teachers that REALLY WANT TO WORK THERE.. She currently attends a daycare p/t in the Hillsboro area but she is not happy there (teacher never smiles) :(
I really need some feedback, she is so unhappy there and I need to get her out soon!!
NOTE: Based on one of the answers given, I really appreciate if you can answer my question about schools instead of not answering and start telling me how to raise my kid. I have an MBA and quit my job in a Fortune 500 company to stay home with my only child. But my child is very active and even if we go to the park, gym class, art class etc..I cannot fulfill all his needs, he needs to socialize more with other children. And there is nothing wrong with working Moms anyway, (so bad the comment was made by a man). It's really hard to make the decision to work and making sure your children are happy and safe with a stranger. I'm really glad at least I have the option. THANK YOU ALL THE GOOD FEEDBACK. I really appreciate it.

What can I do next?

I really like our daycare. All of the teachers know our son even though they don't work in his room. He is regulary (at 10 mos) doing projects and there is a daily lesson even in the infant room. It's called Kids Discovery Academy, previously Kids Castle (or Kastle) I don't remember.

Check out Touchstone Preschool. They have a great academic program for preschool kids. Here is their web page for more info. http://beavertontouchstone.com/page.cfm?p=14331. We go to the Tigard Touchstone Preschool and the teachers are wonderful and Principal, too. They have an excellent program.

A friend's son goes to the Beaverton Touchstone and they are very happy with it. Teachers hold an ECE degree.

My daughter has been attending Happy Hollow in Beaverton for 5 years now, and just loves it. It is closer to SW Portland so I am not sure if it would work for you. The teachers love their jobs and take great pride in their classes. There is a small amount of turnover on a daily basis, as each child heads their class with helpers, if needed. they are Eco-friendly approved, also. They are located on SW 99th Ave off of Beaverton-Hillsdale HWY. Good luck with your search.

If you are willing to go to the Garden Home area, Funny Farm Early Learning Center (in Garden Home Rec Center) is BY FAR, absolutely the best preschool you will ever come across. It's a full day program. And believe me...I did my research. Your child will learn more and be exposed to more diverse ciriculum than any of the other schools mentioned because I looked at them too. And Funny Farm is very affordable. We have been there for the last four years. First with my daughter who is now in first grade, and now with my son who is in his second year and will start Kindergarten in the fall. It was the best decision my husband and I have made regarding our kids early education. I am a working mom too and my kids were never in better care. Marcy Wells is the director and I can't say enough great words about her.

You are in luck, they are having an open house tomorrow (Saturday) if you wanted to stop by. I'm not sure of the time, but you could call them at ###-###-####. You can also check them out on Facebook. Just put their name in the search box. I just found out that the open house is from 11-1

My best friend is starting a very small daycare out of her home. She currently only has 3 kids very part time. She has been looking for one child to take full time, so it might work out perfectly. She's located in central Beaverton and her apartment is easy to get to. Her website is below if you'd like to contact her.
