We just found out we are pregnant with our 2nd. I am not too happy with my current OB and I'd like to switch. Any good ones? Thanks.

What can I do next?

I absolutely love Carolyn Kressler with Three Rivers OB/GYN. She is caring, kind, and well answer any question (no matter how silly) that you may have. Give her a call.

I had my son at Lexington Medical. I had been seeing Lexington Womans Care for my pregnancy. They have both MidWives and Doctors. I saw the midwives. They always made me feel like me and my baby was the most important patient they had. They were very personable and answered all my questions. Even the lab techs were friendly which in my experience is unusual.
I will tell anyone til the day I die, Lexington Womans Care and Lexington Medical Center are the best.
I ended up with having an emergency C-Section and everyone was so helpful during my hospital stay at Lexington Medical.
The doctors from LWC were super attentive after my surgery, so I didn't feel like I was alone in the process.
Also, the labor and delivery nurses at LMC are world class, before and after his birth. Especially Gina Sauls, she was there for me, my best friend, my sister-in-law, and both of my nieces.
Lexington Womans Care also take Medicaid if you're on it, which I was and they don't treat you like trash for needing assistance.
Stay clear of 1801 Sunset Clinic, they herd you in like cattle, make you wait for hours for sub-par treatment. The doctors are volunteers from places like ythe VA or are students just learning. Stay away. They are terrible.
Good luck in your decision and in the birth of you baby.

I love Women Physicians Associates (http://www.wpaobgyn.org). Dr. Eden delivered my son by C-section. I also like Dr. Risinger at the same practice. They also have a midwife, Courtney who has been awesome with helping me deal with my post partum depression. I would recommend any of the doctors in this practice.

I love my OB. He guided me through two high risk pregnancies - still doing post partum care now. I've gone to him for 10 years now. His name is Thomas Carzoli and he's located at the Baptist doctor's building. The only drawback is that he's in a single practice, so sometimes he gets backed up in the office.

Hi E.,
I had a FANTASTIC OB in Utah and moved to Columbia when I was 7 1/2 months pregnant. I lucked out and found Dr. Hutchinson (and Hanna did my c-section). They are both so wonderful and I love them both just as much as the one in UT. Dr. Hutchinson is who I still go through and plan to stay with him if/when I have another one. You can check them out at their website: http://www.hutchinsonandhanna.yourmd.com/
Good luck and congratulations!
Y.

Women Physicians in Columbia is a good practice. I use Dr. Eden- she did my c-section, however I saw all of the Dr.'s in the office and really felt comfortable with all of them.

Hi E., I have a set of twins and a 7 year old and have been going to Capital City OB_GYN @ Baptist since forever. My primary doctor there is Dr. Sonek, he is a very experienced knowledgable doctor that has always helped me have a healthy pregnancy. But he works with another Dr also his name is Dr. Nwanagu (the N is silent) and with my pregnancy with the twins he was awesome. He is a little more personal than Dr. Sonek and likes to make sure that you don't have any concerns, he is not rushed at all on your visits. I also almost a year ago had a still born child @ 5months pregnant and he was very sympathetic, and talked with me for about 30 min when I lost the child. There is only 2 dr's in this practice and the nurses are awesome there as well. I highly recommend going to Capital City OB-Gyn and seeing eithe doctor there. I hope this helps...Take Care, T.. And Congratulations!

I go to Dr. Shipley near Richland Memorial. He has been really good to us. I had some complications with my last pregnancy and was sent to him from my doctor over in Lexington to finish up the pregnancy. I am due December 9th. I like his office because there are only 3 doctors so you do not have to visit 12 different doctors and never sure who you will get. I also think Dr. Holladay is a great doctor. He is in a different practice but I know quit a few people that go to him and love him.
