Hello L., I know it's been awhile since you posted this question but I'll give it a shot! You probably know a few places by now but just in case; there are lots of fun places to take them. There is a Children's Museum in Fort Worth that is great. Also, Abbey's Playtown in Grand Prairie is REALLY awesome for kids. Not sure is your 6 year old will like it but your 4 year old definitely will. There is an indoor swimming pool called Kirby Creek that is open all year round. So, if you kids like swimming this would be a great idea!

Other things to do:
Six Flags in Arlington
Forth Worth & Dallas Zoo
Dallas World Aqaurium (awesome)
Dave & Busters Arcade (awesome)
Ice skating rink @ The Parks Mall in Arlington

There's so many things to list so I'll just stop there! lol

I found our playgroup (in the same area as you) on Meetup.com. Our group is "The Mommy Connection of GP/A" . We have something planned 4-5 days each week (with the exception of holidays) and you can pick what you want to do. Most activities are either free or inexpensive. We have lots of fun, feel free to check us out on the website. You must attend one of the public meetups before going to an in-home meetup for safety reasons.

Check out LUNA Moms Club online at http://www.meetup.com/Stroller-Strides-LMC-Arlington. They've got 2-3 playgroups per week, a couple of Moms Night Out, and also are involved in quarterly community events! :)

You might also get involved with a church. With your kids being in the sunday school classes and other activities and you own sunday school class you will meet lots of other moms with kids the same age.

Here are some different organizations that you can look into:

Mansfield ECPTA www.mecpta.txpta.org
Arlington ECPTA http://kidpta.com/
MOMS Club http://www.meetup.com/Moms-Club-of-Arlington-South-TX/

I am a member of the Mansfield ECPTA. I really enjoy it and have made some great friend. I have been a member of MOMS Club. It is a great organization as well. Hope this helps you.

I was new mom in Coppell and now I live in Hurst. I started going to the story times at the Coppell Public Library and it helped me meet moms who had children my age -I went every week. I'm working full time so I can't go anymore. Check out the libraries in you area - they have activities geared toward children according to their age group. It's a great way to meet other moms with children of the same age.

All the best to you!
