Looking for a Pediatric Allergy Specialist in Frisco/Plano Area?

My two year old is constantly congested all the time and I wonder if he has allergies, b/c it never goes away. My pedicatrician says that he probably does and that an allergist will not test a 2 year old, however I would really like to know what is causing his allergies. Can anyone recommend a pediatric allergist or have experience with 2 year old allergies?

What can I do next?

Gerald Moore is awesome. He tested my youngest daughter. She had exzema and respiratory problems as an infant. They did the skin tests on her back and the results really helped us out. She wasn't even walking yet, so I know he will see patients younger than two. He was also very nice. We saw him in his Frisco office.

Dr. Aly El-Hag is an allergist at McDermott and Coit. He is excellent with kids! When my 9 yr old was afraid of the testing, Dr. El-Hag offered to perform it himself. My pediatrician refers to Dr. E as a "sweetie." He has both an MD and a PhD in immunology. He is from Egypt but speaks excellent English and went to school in Boston. I don't know if he works with kids as young as 2, but he does work with kids alot. He is not difficult to get in to see.

I just went through the same exact thing, with my 2 year old. We went to Southwest Allergy in PLano off the tollway and Communications parkway, I believe. They did test her for about 20 different things and was not allergic to anything. They said it was just colds. They were very good, and did test her. The doctor was named one of the Dallas best doctors and once was a pediatric physican.

My son had an egg allergy and we were referred to Dallas Allgery. They have an office in Frisco on Hillcrest. The doctor he saw is no longer there, but the he also saw Dr. Sugerman. Here is there web page if you want to check it out.

I just saw one of the other posts about Dr. Meiser. That is who my son saw and he is awesome! He's at Southwest Allergy now. I remembered getting a letter from him, but didn't pay attention, because my son no longer has the allergy. I think someone has already posted about Southwest Allergy. I would go see Dr. Meiser again if we needed him.
