I understand finding a good and patient piano teacher is extremely important. My wife and I have several friends of the family that work with a company whose goal is to match piano students with piano teachers. They work with students of all ages. www.learnpianoinyourhome.com

My name is K. Wiethoff. I have been teaching for 8 years. I live in Colleyville. ____@____.com.

I use the Alfred method and suzuki method books (however I do not use the suzuki approach). I teach a 30 minute lesson where we work on music theory, note recognition, site reading, and solo pieces in preparation for 2 recitals that we have each year. One recital is in January and the other we have in May. The recitals are held at a church in Bedford and last no longer than 1 hour duration. If I have more students than will fit into one hour, I break it out into 2 different recitals and parents are encouraged to stay for the whole hour. This helps your student by watching other students who may or may not be at the same level as themselves. I video tape the recitals and try to have DVDs available for the parents to purchase if they choose.

For beginners, I teach a 30 minute lesson and offer an additional 30 minutes on piano related software and games on the computer. The computer lab time is optional and there is no charge for that part of it. It just helps them learn piano theory and site reading in a fun way.

My piano teacher lives in Grapevine, her name is Elena Tsvetkova. She is great with kids, actually most of her students are kids. If you want her information, please let me know.
I highly recommend her!

I live in Carrollton- - near Vista Ridge Mall.... and I'm a great piano teacher! I know it would be a far drive, but I would be glad to be your son's teacher!
There are probably plenty of wonderful teachers in your area that will respond ........ but keep me in mind in case the 'right one' doesn't pop up on Mamasource.
I've taught Elementary Music for 22 years and I've taught piano for about 20 years.
It would be an honor to meet you, because I'm a single mom also.

I use Lorenzo's Bassment. They are teaching my son piano. They also have a ton of other instruments and voice. He has a studio in Southlake and 2 in Coppell.
