Hi everyone,

My son is just turning three this Saturday and we've been looking for a set of sturdy wood bunk beds for him. The ones that we have found are nice, but really expensive. Does anyone know of a place to get good bunk beds at a reasonable price?

What can I do next?

Did you try Ashley Furniture? We, too were on the hunt for the "perfect" bunk beds for our son last year before his 3rd birthday. The wooden bunks were quite pricey...and that was not the look that I was going for. We found a sturdy metal framed bunk (most metal frames we encountered were cheap) with the look of a traditional bed with the knobs and all...we had a construction/tool theme for our son's room and it has all come together quite nice. It is all about the darn bed! Good Luck :)

We got ours at Once Upon a Child, but it's not something that they get a lot of. You can call them & they will tell you if they have any. We got lucky with the one in Westerville, but I've been told that you might have better luck with the one in Dublin. There's also Craigslist, but also is hit or miss. There's also a place called Naked Furniture, I think. You can stain or paint as you wish & they run a little less.

Good Morning,
Ikea has great bunk beds. Theynow have one right outside od Cincinnati. They are great. We bought them for our girls about 3 yrs. ago. The bottom bunk is literally on the floor. I love that for toddlers and younger children and the top bunk sits only about 4.5ft. tall. they are wooden and can be painted or stained. The best part is that they are less than 100.00. Weare military and have lived all overthe world. We fell in love with Ikea while living in Europe. You won't be disappointed.
Good Luck,
D.

If you are in the Columbus, Ohio area Bunk and Loft Factory is wonderful... price wise I guess they would be considered moderate but the furniture is great! They build everything to your specifications and have many options for stain colors and design. The beds are very sturdy and I love the way they look. I have 3 children and all of them sleep on beds from here. I LOVE the under the bed storage drawer option... If you want to take a peek their website is www.bunkloft.com It shows pics and a price list. (No I don't work for them, just a very satisfied customer :-))

Hi I.!

I could not agree more about the Bunk and Loft Factory, they are not the cheapest, but they have strong, sturdy, un breakable funrature for a reasonable price. Excellent quality and service, and you get it built just the way you want it. When it comes to bunk beds, you need to think safety, not just price and these are so sturdy, and they have the low bunk style too for the younger set.

Hi I.! Have you tried Cort Furniture Rental? They rent to model homes and exec rentals and then sell them as 'used' for very reasonable prices. There is one near Polaris. You could call them and see if they have any bunk beds. Good luck!!
