Looking for Car Seat "Dolly"

Hello Moms,
We do a fair share of traveling so I'm always looking for ways to make it as easy as possible. I've seen a "dolly" that you can put a convertible car seat on for easy transportation. And the child can even sit in it and it can be used as a stroller. Does anyone know where I can find one of these? I'd like to be able to use it for our Labor Day travels so I'd prefer a physical location somewhere in the Metroplex but willing to purchase online if I have to. TIA.

What can I do next?

This is a different direction, but this has worked great for me and my almost 2 year old daughter. She has flown about 4 times now, and this works great for her. It gives her a bit more freedom of movement but still keeps her strapped in. It is FAA approved and cost about $80. If you are interested, go to www.kidsflysafe.com to read more about it.

We have a go-go Kidz one and it is WONDERFUL...worth every dime of the 100.oo. I got mine at Right Start, but they have since closed down. Buying online is not a big deal for this one. I think Target online has them for a bit cheaper...
We love it and will probably purchase another one because we now have an 8month old and are going to be traveling again this fall.

We got the gogokidz travelmate too, but be aware that if your carseat is not compatible it is a PAIN in the BUTT! One of the travelmates actually broke; the carseat on one of them kept sliding over. We managed but the product is designed specifically for a Britax carseat.

The other option is the pacback. We got one of those too (to replace the broken travelmate) and it worked well on our last trip.

I've never used any of these but I see someone mention the gogo kidz, and one step ahead...since they seem to have it, I'd check the Right Start store on Lovers Lane b/c they carry that brand and also show the gogokidz thing on their webpage....http://tinyurl.com/m5x9lq

I see there are a couple options on the webpage...look those up then call Right Start and see if you can buy them in store on Lovers.

I just use a standard luggage cart and strap the car seat onto it. I use the car seat on the plane so it is pretty easy to negotiate the airport with baby strapped in - here is where I wrote about it with pictures: http://www.burbmom.net/how-to-fly-on-a-plane-with-a-toddler/

I saw one this weekend at the Kid to Kid in Allen on McDermott. I think that it ran about $35. You might want to call the store to make sure that it is the type of stroller dolly that would work for you, but buying it at a resale shop would save you some money. Good luck!

I have seen one of these at Babies R Us. They are called a Travelmate. Not sure if all stores carry them, but you can order off Babies R Us website and they are $80.
