I am looking for a hairstylist recommendation for my daughter's hair. We recently moved here and out of desperation, I took her to Great Clips in Mundelein and the gal ended up changing her hairstyle, without my permission!! - Said it was fashionable but bothersome to my daughter. I was furious but couldn't say anything because I didn't want to hurt my daughter's feelings. I was always complemented on her hairstyle and would like to find someone in the area that is reasonably priced, knows how to work with small children, and will do a good job.
I am also looking for suggestions on adult hairstylists. If it ends up being the same person, great!
I love Diane at All About Me in Vernon Hills on route 60 by dairy queen. She has been cutting my hair for 15 years as well as my 3 year old for the last two. She is GREAT!

I have been going to Jaime at Tranquility Salon for years. Now my husband and 2 year old son also go. She really listens to what you want and I have gone all over with colors and styles. She is excellent with my son. The number is ###-###-####. I think she is very reasonable for adult cuts and color (comparable to other salons) and maybe a little high for a kid's cut. But you get what you pay for!! My friend had been taking her son to Jaime but then decided to save a few bucks and took him to one of those chains a few times, and has not been happy. They shaved his head!
My entire family (5 of us) goes to Touche Salon in downtown Libertyville. We see Lori she is great however they are very expensive but they treat us like family there.

I found this woman through my daughter's friend. Who by the way, has a one yr. old! Both have adorable haircuts as does her mom. My 3 daughters and I have all gone in for cuts and color. Kid Snips at the mall does an awesome job on kid hair. As for an adult stylist, I go to Studio 21 (Milwaukee and Washington in Gurnee) with Nikki. I've been going to her for 3 years and she's awesome!
