Hi S.,

I'd be interested to know why you're looking. In any case, you might want to check out Wendy McCarty's site at www.wondrousbeginnings.com and Ray Castellino's site at www.beba.org
They understand newborns are intellingent, feelingful, communicating beings.
Good luck,
K.

My sister has an Infant Movement Development program. If you're located in LA, CA she is in town until Wed available for consultations.

Support your baby's optimal development

During individual or small group sessions with your baby, you will discover and explore how to best assist in the unfolding of your child's first year of development.
As your child develops, you will learn simple methods to support the sequential stages of rolling over, crawling, sitting up, and walking that establish the foundation for:
Motor Development
movement and perceptual development

Organization of the brain
learning and creativity

Physical intelligence
coordination, structural alignment, posture,
balanced muscle tone & strength

Sense of self
confidence, adaptability, social ease
As you increase your awareness of your child and his/her movement patterns, and learn to support these important building blocks to health and learning, your child's optimal development naturally flourishes.

Here you go...

http://www.rie.org/

RIE, and the work of Magda Gerber, is amazing! What I've learned from RIE has made a wonderful difference in my daughters lives from day one.

The RIE philosophy is based upon respecting infants as if they were fully functioning, spending quality time with them, learning their individual ways of communicating, not treating infants like objects, involving infants in the things that concern them, being honest with infants, and allowing infants to try to solve a problem without adult interference.
