Hey! I am a 23 year old looking for a great OB/GYN in the area! I don't care if it's a man or a woman, but it is so important to me that he or she is young (under 50) and nice! I had the best doctor ever in Oklahoma, but now that I am up here I need to find a new doc. He or she must also be great with pregnancies, because I am hoping to get pregnant soon! I am VERY anti-episiotomy too, so my doctor must not try to force it on me! Thanks for ANY help!! I really need it!

What can I do next?

I too go to Dr. Stacey Clancy (of Probst, Behm, & Clancy). All 3 of them are great, but Dr. Clancy is the best! She's a younger mother. Doesn't preach, cares, and takes time to listen. I think their number is ###-###-####.

Balanced Care for Women in St. Louis is a great practice........it is in Creve Coeur. Dr. Holly Kodner is great! She is relatively new to the practice (by a couple of years I think), but I have seen her twice.........and she is great! Here is the website with all the contact information.........http://www.balancedcarestl.com/

My Ob is Dr. Mani at Missouri Baptist medical center. She is very understanding and easy to talk to. She delivered my daughter, who is 4 now and I was very happy. She did not give me an episiotomy and she was so gentle and patient that I barely ripped.
her office number is ###-###-####

I am not sure if you are in St. Louis? Dr Bruce Bryan is EXCELLENT. My mom is an anesthetist and went to school with him. He is my OB. I know lots of people who use him or others in his office. People I met at work etc etc. I go from S Co to his office so don't worry about location, he is worth it!
He is in Brentwood in that big tall building. Here is his contact info:
Bryan, Bruce L, MD - Ob-Gyn Associates Incorporated

My OB/GYN is fantastic. I would reccomend her to anyone. She is at Missouri Baptist hospital and her name is Claudia Krasnoff. She was spectacular when I had my twins and has always given me the best care.
Good Luck!

K., I recomend Dr. Sarah Shores. She is part of a great association of Dr.'s at St. Lukes Hospital (Associates in OBGYN). She delivers at both St. John's and St. Luke's (great hospitals). I had my baby (who is now 18 mos.) with her at St. John's. She did not do an episiotomy and she was great! She is probably in her late thirties and she is a DO (doctor of osteopathy) and is great with her patients. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.

I guess you live in the St. Louis area? There seem to be a lot of non-St. Louis people on this listserv. I go to Dr. Jeffrey Thompson at Obstetrical Associates. They are located at St. Luke's. I put a review of him on here. Their office number is ###-###-####. It's funny that now I only go once a year and I still have their number memorized.

I started seeing him when I was nineteen. I'm now almost 28 and have had three surgeries with him. I trust his judgement and know that what he chooses to do medically is in my best interest. I will say that I have not had any vaginal births. My first had his cord around his neck, arms, and leg like a climbing harness and my second I decided to go with a scheduled c-section because of a fear of something going wrong again. I liked knowing what was going to happen the second time. This may taint my recommendation since non-surgery laborers seem to be a little biased about those of us that did need or chose surgery. I still claim that he is a great doctor. He actually cares about his patients. This I know about because when I have gone to him and not had insurance he didn't charge me for the office visit. He knew that I was worried about how much it would cost. He was much more worried that I would postpone care because of finances.

If you are in the St. Louis area, I would recommend my OB to anyone. His name is Timothy Philpott, and he is out of Missouri Baptist Hospital. His practice is Women's Care Consultants and the phone number there is ###-###-####. He is in his 40's and he has an excellent bedside manner (never rushed an office visit, always listened to questions and concerns, and was great at the birth of my daughter). I am a nurse, and I noticed lots of others in the medical field in his office as patients. He is very respected. Good luck in your search for the right doc!

I love my OB....Dr. Lawrence Boveri in Kirkwood. He is young and very nice. And, he delivered my beautiful baby boy. I don't have his number in front of me. Email me if you need his number. I believe his address is 505 Couch Ave, Kirkwood, MO 63122.

Good luck.
