I am 14 weeks pregnant and realizing that all of the nausea has put my fitness on hold for the past 7 weeks. That is not usual for me and I'd like to join a class with other moms that is safe while pregnant. I need to get my body moving. Any suggestions? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I just heard about the stroller excercise class at the JCC on Monument. This isn't near bon air, but my hairdresser says it's an amazing class and so much fun b/c your kids sit in the stroller and you sing and dance and stroll them around.

Good Luck.

The Midlothian Y was advertising one recently and their programs are open to the community.

I highly reccommend the prenatal classes at Yogasource in Carytown. I started at 14 weeks and did it up until my due date and it was very helpful. All the moms share info with each other and each class is custom tailored to particular issues moms are having that week. It was awesome! Both teachers are good, but Leslie Lytle is amazing and so nurturing. If I have a second child, I will be in that class in a heartbeat! Check it out at yogarichmond.com or ommama.com

go to www.ommama.com lots of prenatal yoga options- classes are great location in carytown and since you're new to the area- it will be a great place to meet other moms who will have babies the same age as yours.

I also highly recommend the Yoga Source class. Over any other class in the area. As a matter of fact, other teachers train at Yoga Source. It is great and a wonderful way to meet other moms. There is probably a waiting list, and well worth the wait!!!

I am a new mom of a 9 month old baby girl. I worked out up to and including the day she was born. Best thing I di to help labor along :) I work for American Family Fitness as a personal trainer. We have a program called Hot Mamas it is a pre and post natal personal training program. It is so important to work out. I get so excited when I hear of other ladies who have or are planning to workout during their pregnancies:) We also have pre natal yoga and water classes at our Swift Creek location which is off of Hull Street. Check out the website Amfamfit.com and check out the schedules for all the clubs.
