Has anyone actually ever tried the "lose 10 pounds of belly fat" by following the calorie shifting method that's on the bottom of every mamsource page??? I looked up the menu and it seems awfully bizarre. Just wondering if it works though??

Losing weight is not about calories in vs. calories out..it is about blood sugar stablization, getting the right protein, fats and carbs at each meal and eating clean food. (organic, grass-fed beef, free-range eggs, etc) Another factor is sleep! If you are not getting the 7-8hrs of sleep, then cortisol levels rise in the body to help keep you up, but this causes a stress response, holding on to body fat and breaking down muscle tissue. Successful weight loss is 60% diet, 20% sleep and 20% exercise and the right kind of exercise for you too. If all three are not in sync, then it will be troublesome.

I do wellness consultations that addresses all three issues into individualized programs, but hopefully that gives you a start or at least an idea. Feel free to email me if you have any more questions.

Hello

I started taking Body Trim. It is a powder you put in a drink and drink once or twice a day. I went down 2 clothes sizes. I love it and it doesn't taste like those powdered drinks that have the after taste. The best is it costs $1 for an on the go pack which is one packet and it is healthy. If you would like more info please contact me and we can talk about it more. If it can work for me it can work for anyone.

No! At the gym one of the trainers told me that getting rid of belly fat is all about nutrition. Eating proteins, fiberous carbs and just a little bit of fat. Also eating 5-6 small meals, keeping the portion size fairly equal for each of the meals. Overeating instantly puts the pounds on the mid-section. Aerobic exercise along with weight training is important. Aerobic help burn the calories but the weight training helps burn more of those calories all day long. Muscle uses up more calories just sitting there. So the more muscle you have the better you burn fuel, calories. If you don't eat you will burn you muscles and that is the worst thing that could happen. Hence the importance of eating those small meals so that your furnace is always fueled and ready to go. this increases your metabolism as well.

I've never tried the program you're talking about. It's very true, though, that you need to be careful with diets so that you don't lose muscle instead of fat. That is the reason most diets fail. You end up changing your body composition and that's why you gain the weight back so quickly when you stop the diet.
My husband and I have had success with a diet by Shaklee that is designed to combat that problem. It uses an amino acid called leucine, along with the right mix of protein to build muscle while you lose inches.
People in the clinical trial had 100% retention of muscle mass. It still takes some discipline to stick to it, along with a healthy diet, fruits and veggies, and some exercise. But it helps a lot, and is a great source of protein and energy.

Don't know if that worked, but the program which I tried sure did.
I lost almost 5 inches off my belly. It was the first place I lost it. This shifted calories by giving me good food to eat. It was so balanced that I was on a 1400 calorie diet and I lost weight. I was really never hungry. ( here is the best part, I have kept it off as well) I lost only fat, and no muscle. The muscle burns the fat. Since now I had less fat and more muscle, my body is now more efficient. Concept works, don't know about that specific program, but the one I used changed my life.
