Maternity Clothes - Miami,FL

The one thing that I don't like about being pregnant is the poor design in maternity clothes. I'm 26 I don't want to look like I'm 40 (no offense please). Where can I shop for decent cool clothes with a decent price tag? I've searched all over the web and can't find anything that is at least a bit appealing to me....

What can I do next?

I shopped at Kohls mostly. I got some from friends too. Do you have Gap or Old Navy down there? Old Navy is reasonable and trendy.

I agree with you on that! I had my second baby almost 4 months ago and I really had a hard time finding cute maternity clotehs as well. The best for me was to go into the normal departments for misses and buy larges or XLs. With all of the pretty tunic tops and layers that are in style they worked really well but still looked age appropriate and cute for work etc. I did get all of my pants and dresses at motherhood maternity. Their secret belly fit pants are SOOOOOO comfy and reasonably priced because one pair can last the whole pregnancy (the belly band grows with you but is not tight or loose...AMAZING!!! Hope these tips helped! Best of luck and congrats!

Old Navy and Gap. I splurged on jeans from Destination Maternity. Secret fit belly, I bought 3 pairs in my first tri and they all still fit...Just a couple of weeks to go. I also don't wear any of the "tent tops" The tighter the shirt, the better I feel about myself. Good Luck!

I know what you mean, I was in my early 20s when I had my daughter and resented wearing puffy clothes that made me feel old and fat. At least now, the tunic look is in but back then, it was hard to find "normal" flowy, stylish clothes. I envied movie stars that could wear fancy (sometimes custom made) clothes that were still sexy and did not age them and felt that not being rich was hindering me, but I had to make do with what was available. I used to shop for plus sized clothing or XL sizes in any store like TJ Maxx, Ross, or Macy's, as I found this was a better option than the typical maternity stuff that can look quite frumpy. I had a hard time finding things that would fit as I am very petite yet busty, so finding something that was big on the bust and not so big on the belly nor too long was a challenge. I felt unattractive most of the time and ended up getting some of the blouses tailored so they would fit more like a shirt and not a huge mumu to boost my self-esteem. Unfortunately, you may not find anything to be a perfect look/fit according to your taste, but the good news is, pregnancy only lasts a few months and then you can go back to your youthful, stylish clothing again.

I am 27 now and have two kids so I know what you mean. Motherhood Maternity can have some cute stuff but you just have to see what you can find. Old Navy has cute stuff sometimes too. I don't get very big when pregnant so I also go to DownEast Outfitters and buy some of their shirts in a size medium, they are cute and don't look like Maternity clothes cause they're not :) You should also try T.J.Maxx again it's a hit or miss....sometimes I can find really cute stuff and other times there is nothing there but they have that small maternity section and I do like that it is an assortment of all different brands and styles of clothes.

Here in Canada Thyme Maternity is excellent, they offer new and upto date maternity clothing, as well as their staff are all trained to help you purchase the best outfits to last your pregnancy.

Also, Old Navy has wonderful maternity wear, it's in expensive and washes well.

Good luck and congratulations!

Hi!,
I know what you mean..some maternity clothes don't have much style to them let alone make you feel sexy. I got my clothes from this website kikisfashions.com . They have really cute tops & bottoms, plus their prices are good. Most of my maternity wardrobe came from them. Hope this helps you.

Motherhood Maternity has nice stuff but, it's very expensive. I just ended up buying a size or 2 bigger. I liked Walmart and Target. The "regular" clothes that were bigger actually fit me better than maternity clothes. Check out ebay too. Good luck.

I shopped at Target, Old Navy (got a lot there), Motherhood, Gap. There are many maternity styles out there so you should be able to be pregnant and still be trendy.... Good luck finding something you love!
