Mommy & Me Classes

I was wondering if anyone knew of any Mommy & Me type classes offered in the OKC area. We are going to try at The Little Gym, but I was looking for something my 19 month old daughter and I would be able to do together. She is showing a little jealousy towards our 3 month old daughter since she no longer receives all of our attention. Any suggestions would be great!

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the great advice! We went for a trial class at The Little Gym in OKC. My daughter, Rylee, wasn't sure what to do at first, but the teacher was great, and by the end of the class she was running around on her own. We have decided that since the weather is getting warm, we'll just start meeting some other friends at the park some evenings, but The Little Gym is a great place I highly recommend and we will be doing it during the winter! Thanks again!

You might want to check out Gymboree. I take my daughter to the one in Norman for preschool, but we did one of their "Mommy and Me" classes when she turned two. They offer a wide range of classes for newborns to age 5 (I believe). They even have a class geared towards siblings. We've never been to the one in NW OKC, but the Norman one is definitely worth the drive. The teachers are really great there. Hope that helps!

I just signed up to preview a class at the NW OKC location! I've been looking for a Mommy & Me class, and I'm excited to find a place that offers classes for newborns. I'll let you know how it goes!

We are in s okc & we do the Little Gym also. We used to go to Gymboree in Norman which we loved but wanted to try something a little closer to home. For us, it was tricky to find a class that worked around out hectic schedule (I have an 11 month old daughter & almost 2 1/2 yo son). We've started a new Kindermusik program in Norman. There are several to choose from. Just go to the Kindermusik website & search for your area. I highly recommend the Norman one (Ursula Watson & Candace Mcgruger). They have been doing it for years. We went to a new one in Moore because it was closer to us, it was horrible to say the least. I believe it's worth the drive for a good class that is enriching & worth the time. We are in a family class now that both the kids & my husband can go to...although, he can only go to every other class. I hope this has helped. One more thing, look into your local moms clubs. I am in the MOMS Club of Moore. They are a wonderful group of people. We have lots of activities & playgroups. There's always something going on.

Check out Gymboree. I took my daughter there when she was a newborn for the Mommy & Me Fitness Class. I have a friend who has been taking her son to Gymboree for the past year to various classes and loves it. There is one in the NW part of the city at Northpark Mall and there is one also in Norman. Check out their website for schedules and programs. I think you and your daughter will enjoy them.
