Hello Everyone!
I need suggestions for a multivitamin for my daughter who is 17 months. I tried 2 liquids: Enfamil and one from Whole food and she hated them. She does not drink any juice, just water and milk. So I can't relly hide it in those. Thanks!

Hi K. in Orange! My granddaughter has been taking Koala Pals chewable multivitamin for 3 years. She has been extremely healthy and has been in PreSchool, Pre K and now Kindergarten. They are an easy chew, break down quickly, not hard to chew. They are made from whole foods. If you would like to read about the absorbability of these vitamins, just contact me at ____@____.com and I will send you the wholesale website.

Hi,
Unfortunately, I can't help you because I have the same problem, but I can tell you one NOT to try because it tastes bad too--Poly-vi-Sol/Tri-vi-sol. My son won't even drink that in his juice!

K.,

I get a powdered multivitamin from who foods. It is Nutri.... something or other. Comes in a white box and inside are foil packets. It mixes well with milk. My 5 year old has autism and is EXTREMELY picky and doesn't notice them in his milk. My 2 year old is developmentally typical and not picky at all. He likes the gummy bear vitamins I get from Whole Foods. So far those are the two best options I've found. Both of them are free of dairy, soy, yeast, artificial colors, flavors, preservative and all the things I don't want in a vitamin.

Ask your Pediatrician.

My kids both had "Polyvitamins- with iron" liquid drops (prescription). I had no problem giving it to them in their milk. We also did not have our kids on "juice" yet, so milk was the only way for me to give it to them. It was fine.

Good luck,
Susan

Hi K.,
I just love the powder packets from ARBONNE- They have no chemical dyes (red dye #5) and are very convenient to take along anywhere. Sometimes kids need a little extra motivation to take their vitamins. Well, now they have it, with this fruity, vitamin-packed powder mix. Simply pour mixture into liquid and shake it up! One mom even mixed with yogurt for her 2 year old.

I can send you the ingredient list so you can discuss with your pediatrician but you can view at this link: https://secure.myarbonne.com/arbonne/beautifulfreedom.nsf....

I wish I had something more than Flinstones Vitamins when my kids were young!

Good luck!

Whole Foods has a great whole food supplement in powder form that you can mix in milk. It is chocolate flavored and my daughter loves her "chocolate milk".

Hi K. - My whole family has been on Juice Plus capsules and gummies for four years and I know our health is much better for it. It's not a vitamin, but actually fruits, vegetables and grains with all liquid, salt and sugar removed and concentrated into capsule, chewable and gummie forms. It's the next best thing to eating the whole foods. I recommend you listen to the doctors speak on the scientific research on Juice Plus. Call 800-942-1260 - there's a bunch but you can hear Dr. Sears talk about the benefit to children. No other supplement has been proven through science to have such positive health benefits. Better immune function, helps repair DNA and cells, protects from oxidative stress in the body, helps cardiovascular function and lowers risk of most of the common illnesses. In my kids they are very "regular", they rarely get sick and when they do it's brief, and I have much confidence because of the research behind Juice Plus that they are less likely to get sick from any cause. Of course, no guarantee, because there are so many other factors, but definitely lower risk. I became a distributor because I want everyone to be healthier with the help of Juice Plus. www.WeThriveonJuicePlus.com. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at ____@____.com. Happy Holidays!

Maybe try PolyVitamin Drops w/ Fluoride. They are prescription from the pediatrician, but end up being very reasonably priced at the pharmacy. Our nearly 12 month old loves taking her "drops". Good luck!

I have the BEST children's multivitamin. For a kid it tastes like a really yummy juice - not some thick syrup. You can just give it in a sippy cup or bottle, etc. The quality is terrific. It is in an Isotonic form meaning it mimics the pressure of the liquids in your body so it assimilates quickly and fully. Most vitamins you only get about 20% of. But with these you get 90%. Disclaimer - I sell them. However, I don't care who you buy them from - they're just terrific. Autistic children have had lots of wins with these because they taste great and are of such high quality.

Hi K. :)

Juice Plus has Gummies- they are whole food. You are getting solely the nutrients from the 17 most nutritious fruits and veggies. They are kosher/organic. They are wonderful and my kids love them! I became a distributor only so I would get the preferred customer discount- I've been taking these for 8 years or more. I can help you if you would like to order some, although that is not my purpose for replying to you. They are just wonderful and I see many different vitamin companies think so now, too, as they now are trying to imitate the same type of product.

In Light~

As long as your little one has a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, veggies, carbs, proteins, etc.. she mostly likely doesn't need a multi vitamin. Make sure she gets plenty of iron rich foods (some kids don't get enough) and vitamin D.-weelicious.com

I have always used Nutrilite childrens vitamins. There is a new one called Multi Tart that was just released and it has an improved taste.

If you don't know about Nutrilite, it is organic and the number one brand in the world.

The site I go to is we-us.mychoices.biz and just search for it. You do need to create an account to purchase, a $75.00 order is shipped free and I don't get any emails or solicitations from the site that do not pertain to the order I have in at present.

My kids have not had more than one sick day a year on Nutrilite vitamins. I have taken them for 13 years and would not go for anythng else!!

Hi K.,
I give my 14 month-old daughter the Target brand for Poly-Vi-Sol. It is a liquid. For her first year, I had to give her a liquid with extra iron in it and managed to get her to take it most of the time - it was horrible tasting! You can try keeping it in the fridge - sometimes colder things go down better. I would give it to her when she was hungry (but not upset) and just kind of sneak it in there and have a tissue to wipe up what gets spit out. So now giving her regular multi-vitamins is easier - she actually opens her mouth!
Good luck!

I agree with one of the moms below who said that as long as she eats everything, she doesn't need multivitamins.
I just spent a weekend with friends who are both highly respected physicans and they both told me that home made chicken soup is the best vitamin/minaral you can give to a kid. Absolutely disagreed with any of my suggestions for vitamins, herbal immune boosters etc etc. My son doesn't even like milk and they said that as long as he eats cheese and yoghurt he'll be fine....no pills or herbs...no matter how safe you think they are, they all have chemicals!

The pediasure tastes like chocolate, strawberry or vanilla milk. Or if she likes fruit snacks she is almost old enough for the gummy bears I give my daughter. I think it's recommended for 2 and up. I get the generic "milk" from Walmart and the gummies from Costco.

I have been using the product of New Vision international for whole my family. My 16 years old daughter was just like your baby. She didn't like any juice but the water, but she loved Essential Mineral. I diluted with water and gave her. Mangosteen plus, I'm not sure if your baby like or not. It came out when she was 5 years old and my kids loved it. She started to take since 18 month. She had a bad ear infection all the time but by 3 she didn't have any year infection. My son 11 years old son never had ear infection whole his life. I could only think why is Essential Mineral and Mangostten plus.

It's not exactly a multivitamin, but perhaps stir 1/3 to 1/2 packet of Carnation Instant Breakfast into her milk. Lots of vitamins, minerals, and protein in there!
