My Excema on My Right Hand Is Driving Me Crazy! Help!

Ever since my first child was born I have had this patch of excema on my hand. It started out small on my middle finger. It has now spread to cover three fingers and now beginning on my palm. I went to a dermatologist and he basically said that I need to wear gloves often, wash my hands less, and he gave me some really strong cream that doesn't really do much for me. I think it is definitely caused by my hand washing and cleaning. But what am I supposed to do? I am a teacher and a mommy. Does anyone know if diet is related to my outbreaks? Is it stress? And does anyone know of a natural way to control it? Or do I have to just live the rest of my life with constant itching and split skin on my hand? HELP!

What can I do next?

I have patches of eczema too. The thing that usually helps me is to slather the areas with hydrocortisone cream and then cover it up with saran wrap so the area is occluded. Doing this overnight is easiest. After a few days, the rash should clear up.

Good luck.

You have to absolutely try the FREEDERM product line.....Guaranteed results! I doubt there is a special diet that can actually get it under control since it is a skin disorder and not a food allergy. Although healthy eating does have its benefits. My family has lived with several different skin disorders and this product has been phenomenon.
You can purchase it online at www.freederm.com
Some of us saw results in three days which they actually advertise and some of us took about a week but that's all it took. HOPE THIS HELPS! If you try it let me know..... We've tried every possible natural cure known to mankind (for real) but sometimes they body just needs a little extra boost - I'm not sure of all the contents of FREEDERM I just know it works.

Arbonne has a skin conditioning oil that is wonderful! I've used it for everything from my daughter's excema to scraps and scratches. It's not at all greasy - it absorbs very quickly and it's all natural essential oils. If you'd like to check out the line here's a website www.SkinCareBasics.myarbonne.com
Good luck!

Hi JoAnn,
I have it too. Stress does cause flare ups. It itches and burns. I find the prescribe cream triamcinolone very soothing to my burning skin and sometimes scalp. It is awful if it goes to the scalp because it itches, burns, and flakes, ew!

Just be sure to keep yourself moisturized. Aveeno lotion works pretty well when mine is not flaring up.

Best of luck.

yes both diet and stress could flare it up. you could be eating something that you may have an allergy to and it could cause an eczema flare up. what i would try is the benadryl anti itch cream. when you are cleaning maybe wear a rubber glove over your hand soo it doesnt get wet. i dont know what creams or lotions you use but i do know that aveeno eucerine and vasaline are good brands. also theres a lotion called renew that works wonderfully! you can find it on the melalueca site. melaleuca.com

Try this website www.herbalworksinc.com they make a chamomile lotion that’s about 99% natural. Works great for eczema psoriasis, sun burns and just plain dry itchy skin. It’s safe enough to use on kids too. I use it mainly for when I get a sun burn and when I get a new tattoo. It really takes the edge off of the itching and smells great!

Hi JoAnn,

You are probably washing your hans quite a bit more than before you had kids! I found this Renew lotion, and a few other natural products. I first used it on my daughters, now I use it myself. It is all natural, and really works. You can look it up at www.melaleuca.com. I would be happy to send you a sample. Feel free to call me at ###-###-####.
