I am throwing my good friend a baby shower and realized we are going to have 50+ attending. My house is not big enough. Any suggestions on a location with out spending much $ if any at all. Thanks!
Your local church usually has a room large enough for a baby shower of that size and generally only charges for clean up or a deposit. Good luck.

Maybe try having two baby showers in the same day. One for family and then one for friends. You may have to buy two cakes but it sounds like you are going to have buy a large cake anyway. Plus it should narrow down the number of people mom-to-be has to interact with at once. That way its not overwhelming for everyone. Good luck!
How about your church fellowship hall, or if you know someone who lives in an a an apartment how about they club house often a person living there can get them for free or at a discount.
If you are located in Glenpool you may try Faith Church located on Hwy 75 or the Landing Community church on top of the hill The Glenpool Jenks community center also has rooms you can rent.
A., when my son was in the NICU this fall someone threw a baby shower for me at my house, my house is about 1400 square feet. We had 50+ people attend, but it was a come and go brunch it lasted for about 2 or 3 hours.A lot people came and stayed for quite a while, I was surprised how many people could comfortably fit in my house!!! We did rearrange some furniture before people came and added a a card table or two in case people wanted to sit and eat, but we did not have to remove any furniture at all. Since it was at my house, the hostesses were able to spend more money on food... they had a breakfast casserole, mini muffins, and a simple salad; to drink they offered coffee, iced tea, orange juice, champagne, and mimosas.
We are also planning to do my son's 1st birthday party at our house and are inviting well over 50 people. I would never have considered this before having that big shower in my house...but it worked!
