I am looking for a new daycare facility. I would be open to in home daycare, but i dont know what htey are charging. I only need someone 3 days a week, like another mom that posted, lots of them still charge the full 5 days. Anyone do in home, or know of a facility in Cape Coral? I have been to a handful but none have impressed me yet.

What can I do next?

My aunt has a Florida registered school in her home that is wonderful. Currently there are only 4 kids there now including my son who is 4. She has over 25 years experience with childhood education and is the best thing that could have ever happened to my son. All of the children there love it and I have yet to see one child ever not wanting to be there like you would see in a bigger daycare. It's a loving, caring playful environment. She does part time, but I would garauntee that your daughter would want to go everyday!!! My son is already advanced for kindergarten and so smart!!! Her school is called, "Ms. Vivians Pre-School" and she is located right by veterans and santa barbara. A full week there is $105 (with computer classes). Her hours are M-F 7am-6pm. I'm positive you will not only love it, but will find her very easy to help you. Give her a call anytime and stop by to see them in action, it's great!!! ###-###-#### Vivian

Hi S.,

My children attend a home daycare in the Pine Island area. We are very happy there, although, I believe she only offers full time care. Most of the home daycares I am aware of only take fulltime, or fulltime payment. I can tell you that right now, I am paying $90 a week for my 2 year old daughter, and 45 a week for my part time school age daughter. I know for ours, this half rate is only for school age. Hopefully, this helped give at least a pricing idea for you. You could always contact Child Care of SW Florida for a full list of licensed / registered caregivers in our area. Good Luck.

I was wondering if you have found part time placement for your child.? Please let me know. I am a licensed family home child care provider. I have know another licensed home child care provider that may still have an opening.

Hi!

I provide inhome childcare, I live in the SE Cape, I have two little ones myself, a 3 year old little boy and a 7 month old little girl. Before I had kids of my own I was a nanny for a number of families over the course of 4-5 years, both live in and live out and I was also a pre-school teacher part-time for 3-5 yr olds! My rates are $32/day for a full day (6 hours or more) and $20/day for less than 6 hours. I don't charge for the week unless you need 5 days/wk. Otherwise it's by the day however many days you need. You are welcome to send me an email if you're interested lala_ro_rugs*yahoo.com

If you are still looking for a sitter, I would be interested!
I have a 3yr old little boy who loves to have playmates and I watch one other little girl full time during the hours of 8-6pm.I charge $30.00 for a full day and $15.00 for half day(anything less than 4 1/2 hours). I do not charge for days that you are not here but I do ask that if there is going to be a full week that you are not going to be here that you let me know in advance if you can.I also am CPR certified and am in the process of getting my state license.Feel free to email me "kizmebak at yahoo" and we can talk kids!

I actually put an ad in the paper for a sitter for my two girls. I got a great sitter for almost a year until she got pregnant. Then i put an ad in again and found another. You have to weed through the calls because you get so many, but you narrow it to 4 or 5 and then do the interviews. I've never had a problem doing it this way, and then your child gets to stay home which can be better. I pay $10/hr and the sitter also does some laundry and dishes for me, as well as makes cookies with the girls, and crafty things.
I did call afew of those home daycare places in the Cape, but was very discouraged with what i heard. One lady was actually smoking while i was on the phone with her,(like i couldn't tell) and another was swimming in her pool while on the phone with me and watching however many kids she was watching!
With one child you could probably pay a little less. Especially if you don't need them to do any chores.
Let me know if you have more questions about how i did it. I also have a two page application i created that tells me alot about the person when they fill it out. You are welcome to it!
