Need New Hairdresser; Have Extremely Thinning Hair at Only 34 :( - Carrollton,TX

Hi moms, I've always had very thin hair and a fairly recessed hairline. After giving birth to two kids and excessive hair loss, I have visible bald spots and my hair is so thin my scalp is visible through my dark hair. I had success with a great hairdresser but she's now closed. I am looking for a dependable, supportive person who can suggest the best cut for hair like mine. As an FYI, I'm happy with my current style: bob with long bangs (that I always avoided because of my thinning hair, but actually it works great for my face shape/hairline). I'm open to coloring my hair (I've been told that highlights will help "hide" my scalp underneath??) although I've never colored it before. Basically, I'd love to have an initial consultation and then hopefully find "that person" who I'll continue to go to for years to come! Thanks in advance for your advice! Also, I'm in Carrollton but I'm willing to drive to Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Farmers Branch, Lewisville, etc.

What can I do next?

I am not going to suggest a hair dresser but someone who can help you balance out your system and kick it back into gear to fix the issue. It might be hormones, or a deficincy that makes your hair loss more after kids. They do kinda suck the health out of you (trust me I have two and my body is wacked out) . Although I dont have thinning hair I do have other momma issues. After 6main streem doctors I finally turned to all natural methods...mainly because the professional doctors couldnt help me. So I suggest finding someone who specializes in homeopathy or oils something with a all natural doctor to help your hair because it might not just be your hair loss that your body is deficent in??? Hope this helps you can try searching hair loss after pregnancys or causes/symptoms that cause hair loss. Natrual remidies for hair loss.

Hi E.,
I go to Crystal Kim at Salon Elegant. She is in Carrollton on Hebron Parkway in the shopping strip next to Sonic. Her number is ###-###-####. I have been going to her for 14 years. My hair is straight, bob style and blonde. She does a great job. She is from Korea, but speaks English and is a real sweet lady. She is very good with Color too!

Consider going to an Aveda salon. I had thinning hair after the birth of our second child and our local salon did an amazing job with my hair then. I know Aveda puts the stylists through constant training programs.

I cannot help with a hair dresser since I am in North East Ohio. My last cut, the girl who has been doing my hair for 20 years (I was 18 & she was 19) mentioned that more hair than usual was coming out. She mentioned that I might want to speak w/ my dr. & have my thyroid checked. She said when your thyroid isn't working quite right, 1 of the signs is more hair loss than normal.
