Hello all,

I was looking for any recommendations on some sort of baby carrier (wrap, sling, the exact brand and style, etc) that you found easy to use while breastfeeding.

Thanks!
S.

Hi S.,

I loved the Moby wrap and also the Baby Bjorn. Both worked great and you can breastfeed in the moby too. I also liked the infantino sling rider when they are super little-you can breastfeed in that as well.

Good luck and congratulations on your new arrival coming!

I sew and made my own version of the Moby wrap. It works great for nursing.

i liked the ERGO (http://www.ergobabycarrier.com/) for breastfeeding. if you already had the babe on your front (opposed to your back) you just have to loosen the straps a bit and they are at boob level. there is even a little hoodie you can use for privacy. perfect! you can often find used ones on craigslist for a decent price. good luck!

I used the basic padded ring sling (around the house) and kangaroo fleece sling (good for cold winter). You can find both of them at kangarookorner.com. The Ergo was good also; it has been the most comfortable carrier for me since it distributes the weight on both shoulders. I found that it was a little trickier to switch sides nursing though in the Ergo than in the slings. Good luck and congratulations!

I have a few friends who use the Moby wrap and they have all said it is very convenient for nursing.

I had a Baby Bjorn when my girls were babies and could never quite get the hang of nursing with it, but I've heard it can be done. If I'd had a Moby, I think I'd have found it easier to deal with (it just seems a lot more adjustable).
