Saturdays are my cheat days and I love to bake, but I need some new ideas! I am not a pie fan, except pumpkin (what's up with that?), so those are out. But I will take anything else. Mmmm, pumpkin, shouldn't have said that. Ok, now I have to add if you have any good pumpkin bread recipes I will take those too! :)

Super easy, my husbands favorite dessert.

I have won to dessert contests with this recipe. Even people that do not like coconut like this.

Apple Kuchin
½ cup butter or margarine
1 pkg yellow cake mix
½ cup flaked coconut
4 granny smith apples peeled and sliced
¼ cup brown sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg

Preheat oven 350
Mix butter (or margarine) into cake mix, add in coconut. Press into ungreased
9 x 13 baking pan. Build up sides. Bake for 10 minutes.

Arrange apple slices on top of cake.

Mix sugar, cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples.

Blend sour cream and egg yolk. Drizzle over apples. Bake 25 minutes until edges are brown.

I found this recipe about a year ago and it is my favorite recipe to make. They're cookies that have a little of everything I love in a cookie:
- peanut butter, chocolate chips, and oatmeal

(I use milk chocolate chips instead of semisweet, b/c I just love milk chocolate!)

I LOVE these super easy pumpkin bars

1 can 16 oz solid pack pumpkin
1 can 12 oz evaporated milk
3 eggs
1 1/2 C sugar ( I sub Splenda all the time and it is fine)
4 tsps pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp salt ( I usually omit)
1 pkg Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Yellow cake mix ( I have subbed all brands of yellow cake mix, I actually prefer the butter recipe cake mix)
1 cup chopped pecans
1 C butter or margarine melted
Whipped topping ( so rich I rarely even use it )

preheat oven to 350
Combine pumpkin, evap. milk, eggs, sugar, salt and spice in Large bowl. Pour into 13x9 pan ( I have always used a glass pan or my pampered chef one, I have never used a metal pan)
top with pecans. Drizzle w/ melted butter. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes.
Cool completely. Serve with whipped topping ( we rarely use it!)

Ina Garten's peach/raspberry crisp is outta this world! Peaches are great right now. It's a good recipe for a "base" anyway I use her crumble on all of my crisps. I will say I use less butter than she calls for but just make it her way once and then tweak to your liking.

My favorite cake in Hershey Deep Dark Chocolate. I use Cool Whip for the frosting and sprinkle that with seasonal M&M's and Pecan halves.

This one isn't really baking, but it is easy and oh so yummy. I think it's best for entertaining because it puts on a good show as well.

In a pampered chef rice cooker (or really any microwave safe bowl) mix a cake mix, after it is well mixed put an entire can of frosting into the center. Microwave for 10 mintues, make sure it is cooked and pulling away from the sides, it will be gooey but try to make sure it is finished. Scrape a knife around the sides of the bowel put a large platter with high sides over the bowl and flip. The frosting will spill over the cake. It is yummy, moist, and awesome!

Here's a few of our family favorite dessert recipes.

Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, so big and moist, almost like cupcakes/bread, I LOVE these:

Amazingly yummy puffed pancake, (this is a family tradition for birthdays, holidays...):

Fruity chocolate bannana bread. My favorite is with chocolate chips, walnuts and blueberries or blackberries, though in this recipe I used strawberries. I usually make these into cupcakes instead of bread though:

Baked oatmeal, a yummy brunch or 'breakfast'. I love it topped with honey and fruit, sometimes I add a bit of peanut butter:
