Hello Moms:

I have quite a few items I would like to donate to someone who needs them. Mostly it's baby boy's clothes, but I also have some newborn girl stuff. Do you know any churches in the Dallas area that have a program that supports single and/or young moms?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you so much everybody for giving me ideas. I decided to give things to one of moms in need, but now I know where to go next time my kids grow out of clothes.

T., please get in touch w/ the Dallas Pregnancy Resource Center. http://www.dallaspregnancyresource.com/

They have free childbirth classes for expecting moms- the moms who come to the classes all get a baby shower for the last week. They also help out any mom who has just had a baby and needs a bit extra.
It is an awesome ministry!

Hello T. M. if you do decide to give away your clothes to a shelter that is perfectly fine.. but I too am in need of boys clothes. I don't know exactly how old your son is but mine is 6 months. I am a SAHM who hasn't had a chance to shop for my son since birth. We are in need because it's been hard. You can e-mail me at ____@____.com if you still want to donate some things, I'll be glad to take them off your hands. Thx

i hope you will consider a battered womens shelter. So often those moms arrive with nothing but her kids and the clothes on their backs. Genesis, the Family Place are a couple that might have a need. thanks for sharing!

May I suggest a domestic violence shelter? Any of them can use the clothes as many must leave with their kids and the clothes on their backs. The New Beginnings Center in Garland is a wonderful place that even provided Christmas for my kids while I was still in hiding..........btw, I understand the 'tired but happy' part as mine are 14 mos apart - now 14 and 15..........
