Needed: Farmer's Market in Queen Creek

Grandkids are coming for the summer. Does anyone know a good farmer's market or natural food store in the Queen Creek area? I believe Schnepf Farms closes for the summer. These boys are huge (6 yo twins are 4'11!) and I believe it's due to the chemicals used in the food they eat. I don't mind driving into Mesa, or any adjacent town. Thanks

There is a farmer's market just south of Elliot on Power Rd. I have been there on several occasions and the fruit and veggies are always wonderful! You have to remember to not buy a lot because it is fresh and will spoil quickly. I normally go to Superstition Market on Main and Higley in Mesa, which has a lot better prices than the one on Power. I go to either Sprouts on Higley and Southern or any of the Fresh and Easy stores for all of our other healthy foods. I am not sure where a Fresh and Easy is near you, but we go to the one on Southern and Sossaman. Have fun with your grandkids!

This is not a farmers market but a coop. Twice monthly you can pick up fresh fruits and veggies at a fraction of the price. Check out their website for more info.

The best farmer's market I have ever been to is on Main Street between Higley and Greenfield in Mesa. There is one closer to you though, off Power road just north of the Loop 202.

I must agree with two of the other responses, the farmers market (south side of Main at the 48th st stop light between Higly and Greenfield) has outstanding prices and in my opinion more than anything you are looking for! And also someone mentioned the bountiful baskets coop, which I also use. But many times we get things that we would never eat or spoil quickly. Bountiful baskets also offers bread and various other things many times, but you really never know what you are going to get. Good luck and have a wonderful summer with your grandsons that is wonderful!!
