New Hair Style

I need a change! Does anyone have any ideas (pictures) of easy hairstyles that don't take a lot (or any) work? I work full time and have a 1 year old daughter, so I usually just throw my longer hair up in a pony tail and go. I don't really have extra time for blow drying, etc.

Also, if you know of a great, hip stylist that doesn't cost $100 for a hair cut I'd love those suggestions as well. I'm in San Diego. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

like you I was usually wearing a pony tail, and didn't spend time on my hair. I have a new stylist, and new hairstyle I love that I rarely put up! She was not expensive ~$50 I think, listened carefully and provided suggestions keeping in mind that I didn't want to spend time on my hair. SHe even showed me how to style my hair, which products and techniques would make it easy. The salon is Gila Rut in Hillcrrest, the stylist name: Faith. Good Luck!

I just throw my hair up in a french twist with a clip... slightly nicer than a pony tail but it lets me keep my hair long. Sorry I don't have any suggestions for a particular style (I'm still looking too). But I can recommend Jennifer from Happenstance (http://hapenstans.com, ###-###-####) Its only $35-40 for my hair cut and if I do get it highlighted and cut its $130. She is also great with kids - thats the only place I'll ever take my son ($10-$15 for him). One time I even asked her to do something completely different with my hair that would be easy and look flattering on me - and I loved the hair cut. Its not often you can find a stylist that you trust that much.

For years I went w/a pony tail! Then I would get a hair cut and "had to fix it a bit" so I'd go back to pony tails. I finally got the perfect cut and I love it! Now, I get up, it's combed! If I want to sas it a bit, I put water in my fingers and fluff it up, voila! instant beauty and style!
She openned her own salon because of the demand and now she's in La Mesa, Sandra ###-###-####
tell her you're a busy gal, no time for fixin', she'll like the challenge, work with your face, etc.
ps. I also took a picture of what I thought I wanted: a short hair cut like "Mariska" on law and order. It makes it easier.

Hello Sarah, I also hate doing my hair and do not have time. I got my hair cut short and it is so easy, I just wet it in the morning and put gel or moose in it and am done. I also save a lot more shampoo and conditioner. Email me at ____@____.com and I can send you a picture if you would like. Good Luck! My hair lady is in La Mesa and she is very inexpensive. K.
