Organizing Info from Magazines like Articles, Recipes, Websites, Etc.

I have one magazine subscription but I go thru stages where I will buy a ton of magazines at a time and then not another one for another 6 months or more. I do find articles, recipes and mentions of websites that I don't want to forget and would somehow like to keep without just folding the page down and keeping 100 magazines in a pile. Does anyone have a way to organize these? I have an office with a copy machine so I guess I could do that for articles and recipes but what about websites I want to check out at a more convenient time? Just write them in a notebook or something? I guess I'm just looking for ideas and wondering if anyone else runs into this problem of keeping magazine info and keeping it organized without keeping the whole magazine. Thanks mamas!

Not sure my method is best, but what I do is tear out the page as I go through the magazine. Circle or highlight the website, recipe or whatever I want to keep. Then, once I finish, I sort them into category and stick them into pocket folders. I had a stack of folders leftover from school supplies. I have one for recipes, one for crafts and gift ideas, one for parenting, one for general homemaking type stuff, like cleaning & organizing tips, budgeting, marital advice. I keep the folders with my cook books. I have actually used them later. When I get stuck for a Haloween costume or need an idea for a recipe, I will go grab my folders.

Rip out what you want and put it in a 3-ring binder (and then recycle the rest of the magazine - they're just clutter). In the binder, include a sheet of paper with a list of website you want to check out. Hope that helps!

Use your office copier/scanner to scan them to .pdf files.

You can scan the articles on to your computer and keep them in one file. I love Cooking Light and save many of the recipes. Because I use them when cooking, I keep the articles/recipes in a binder in my kitchen. I place them on pages in clear protective sleeves so that they are protected from spills. Going through and updating my binder with new recipes is one of my favorite rainy day projects.

I have a few binders that I keep my articles in and I print the recipes or fashion articles that I want and file them in my binder. I have a fashion file binder, fashion wish list binder, recipe binder and a motivational binder.

I get the Cooking light magazines. I fold over the corner of the recipes that I like. Then, I go through and cut them out. ( I usually do this in the car while waiting in the school parking lot to get my kids) I put all the main dish type recipes in one pocket folder and the dessert/baking recipes in another folder. When I 'm looking for a new recipe to try I look through the folders. If I try the recipe and like it then it goes in my 3 ring binder with the clear plastic pages. Cutting out the articles is the best way. Storing all the magaizines takes up too much space and photo copying them uses lots of paper.
