Orthodontist near Carrollton, TX

My daughter is nearly 9 and the dentist is recommending we go ahead and start searching for an orthodontist. He gave us a couple of recommendations, but I thought I would reach out to you ladies as well. We would like to find someone in Carrollton or Plano area. The dentist said she may need to have her upper palate expanded before actual braces are applied, so it's better to start working with the orthodontist now rather than later.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

So, I'm embarrassed to admit we still haven't gone to an orthodontist. We really want to take care of this now in order to determine what type of dental insurance we should sign up for next year. We recently relocated to McKinney. Does anyone have recommendations for great orthodontists in McKinney (preferably west of 75). I promise we will follow through this time!!

Apple Orthodontics is exceptional. http://www.appleortho.com/locations/

Dr. David Blackburn in their Denton office is the best orthodontist you can find- (validvictorian in H.S., extensive charity work, always received top grades and honors in his graduate work) If Denton is too far for you- check out one of their other locations.

Hey - I don't live in your area, but I just wanted to let you know that my son is almost 9 as well and they are telling us the same thing. But, I wanted to let you know that they highly encouraged us to do this before he turns 9 because the palette is still soft and can be expanded more easily.

Also, just FYI, our dentist could do the palette expander, but I went to see an orthodontist to try to get a bigger picture of the whole future of my son's teeth. The orthodonist was a LOT more informative and had a bigger, more comprehensive plan. So, I am much more comfortable with the orthodontist doing this job for us.

Good luck!
L.

Dr. Adam Benham at Benham Orthodontics has offices in both Frisco and McKinney (west of 75). They're really nice there!

I take my daughters to North Texas Orthodontics Associates -- we see Dr. Robert Lugo and he is so nice! But all of the doctors there are great. They have offices in McKinney, Allen (2 locations), Plano and Frisco. Here is their website, http://www.ntoabraces.com/site/content.html.
