Widower:

Have you thought about going to the doctor to have it examined by a doctor instead of asking random strangers on the internet?

None of us are doctors, and if we were, there is NO WAY any of us would diagnose you over the internet. It's the like girls asking if they are pregnant.

Swelling and pain is your body's way of saying something is wrong with your body. Make an appointment and go get it checked out.

Good luck!

There is no way to tell unless you have an X-ray done, go see your doctor.

I would have it checked out. I rolled my ankle SIX months ago and I am still dealing with issues. I rolled it, knew I sprained it and waited two months to see a doctor. I just assumed it would get better. There was no bruising, but some swelling. I thought, "how bad can it be??". I finally went it and had it looked at. I was told I severely sprained my foot and ankle. I was put in a boot for a month. It didn't get better. Did physical therapy. Still no change. Now I am back in the boot. They x rayed my ankle again and discovered that they missed a broken metatarsal. So it's healing, but not healed, even six months later. After this round of the boot, I go back in for another check up. If it's still bothering me...I have to get an MRI. Not sure it would have mattered too much in this case, but next time I won't play the waiting game for quite so long. My doc has mentioned more than once that ankle and foot injuries are really tough to heal (it's hard to immobilize completely and there are so many small bones in this area). Go in and get it checked out before you injure it worse or cause more damage.

Sounds like it could be a stress fracture that is getting worse. Get to urgent care or make an appt with your doc asap.
