I'm 12 weeks out from having a c-section! I'm looking for a great personal trainer that is reasonably priced and knows a bit about nutrition, etc. since I'm breast feeding!! My goal is to lose 30lbs but I want to do it the right way! Anyone know of one?

What can I do next?

You didn't mention where you live which is important when it comes to location location location, however if you live in or near Santee, I highly recommend Tamra Herb. She is a nutritionist and a personal trainer. You can reach her by email at: ____@____.com. I used her & referred 3 other friends to her that love her! Good luck

T.,
I know a few great trainers;
Tiffany Ferrari of Fitness on the Move,
and Dave Douglas of Mobile Health and Fitness; they do in home and are pros.
If you have a c section you may be eligible for Physical Therapy with Insurance
coverage on initial sessions-I am a PT at www.Comprehensivetherapy.com
in San Diego, we specialize in womens health, and pelvic training.The clinic is fun.
Also, get ready for the post-partum time when you can't work out;
I wrote BenchFit Exercise Pearls for New Moms as a specialty booklet to get moms back on track fast! Check it out at www.BenchFit.com.
You can then progress to the BenchFit Workout when you are ready;EASY IN HOME 20 Min Fitness-starter program; burns 200 to 600 calories depending on your time.
To lose 30#...I'm assuming this is your pregnancy wt gain....
by getting on a program of optimum eating and regular APPROPRIATE exercise
you can meet your goal. Studies show that the longer moms go with keeping extra weight on the less likely they are to lose it.
Tara Coleman cnc is a great nutritionist if you need one.
Health and Blessings,
M.

I worked out for a year with Kevin LaCourte (www.kevintrains.com) after my third child was born. He is an expert on both exercise and nutrition and has workouts all over San Diego. I lost over 30 pounds in that year. I stopped working out with him because I reached my goal and felt like I could continue my workouts on my own. I highly recommend him.

Hi T., I have done the personal trainers @ the gyms but what I found that is so much fun and way, way cheaper is an outdoor bootcamp. It is called www.wiredfitness.com. The owner Bryan is awesome and he has classes all over San Diego County. I get so much more out of his classes than I ever did at the gym and not to mention the money thing. Check out the web site to find a location near you.

Be careful dieting while breastfeeding. Make sure your personal trainer knows about breastfeeding women and the importance of caloric intake and watch out for diet aides and supplements that may effect milk supply or be dangerous for your baby.
