Can you share with me what you pay for piano lessons? I've gotten a quote from someone but it seemed rather high. I may just be out of touch on this though. I'll have 3 kids taking lessons.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks! I have someone who will charge $54 per child / per month for 20 minutes per week. My other option is $90 per month for 30 minutes per child.

My friend pays $20 for a 30 minute lesson followed by 15 minutes of a computer program that the child does. My daughter takes a group class at a music school (only 2 kids in the class right now) and it breaks down to $12 per 45-minute class. Do you have a music school near you? If you think the quote is high, get some other quotes.

I would say the average is $30 for a 30 minute lesson

I pay $30 for 1/2 hour. It is kind of high but she comes to my house so I don't have to drag 4 kids around.

Check with your local music store and see if they offer group or individual piano lessons and then see what they charge for X amount of weeks. You will then be able to base your quote to see if it is too high.

My mom taught piano for a long time. I think she charged $20 for a half hour per kid. But different areas are different too.
