I am 13 weeks pregnant & my re-ocurring lower back pain has already begun flaring up. My chiropractor (she's certified in pre-natal chiropracty) suggested trying some pre-natal yoga for some really good stretching exercises. Can anyone suggest a good pre-natal yoga video? I've never really done any yoga before either. Thanks for the help!

What can I do next?

I used Crunch, Yoga Momma, and really enjoyed it. Also, you can look into some hospitals, they offer pre-natal Yoga classes.

TRy Prenatal Yoga by Shiva Rhea..I think it is 20$..but worth the cost and comes with masage that can be done on you while u are pregnant.

Both yoga and the massage are good.

Best of luck!!

I also love the video by Shiva Rea. I share it with all my pregnant friends. She also has a great post partum tape. Congratulations and best of luck to you!

I loved Dr. Christine Anderson's Dynamic Prenatal Yoga DVD.
This is an intense program (1 hour & half long for the whole thing), but you can only do parts of it (like just relaxation poses and sun salutations, for expample) and I still found it very satifying. You can find the DVD on Amazon.com.

Good luck!

Hi F.,
Yoga is absolutely great during pregnancy. I have 3 weeks to go in my 2nd pregnancy. I have a video which is a little older but yoga moves dont change. I need it for a couple more weeks and then you're welcome to take it. I'm leaving in january to italy and won't be able to use it there and we don't plan on having more kids anyways.
If you haven't done yoga before I would recommand to take some classes. There are a lot good prenatal classes in chicago.
Let me know if you'd like to pick up the video somewhere in december.
Thanks
M.

I have the "Yoga for Pregnancy, Labor & Birth" by Colette Crawford that was recommended to me by my pre-natal yoga instructor. You can order it online at www.seattleholisticcenter.com. I think it was about $20-$25. It's great, I love it!!! It really compliments the classes that I take at the weekend, but in the comfort of my own home :)
Good luck!
