I"d like to recommend EFT = Emotional Freedom Technique. It's a simple, gentle, self-guided tapping and self-talking technique. The accupressure points are tapped by oneself. It's free, non-invasive and can be used anywhere, for just about anything.

It's not a cd but there's a great book I've had for years,but it's at home and I'm not... I think it's simply "Meditations for Children". It has a core beginning, then lots of different guided-imagery endings you could read to him. Perfect for bedtime for an 8 year old.

When my 2 boys were younger (and I still use the tapes my self) I put in "Ocean Dreams", "Peaceful Sleep" or any of the composers like Beetoven and such. It relaxes them and today in their teens they are A students, social, athletic and all around great people.

Try Indigo Dreams. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
