I am currently a sahm of a 2 yr old lil girl. We recently ran into a tight situation w/ our vehicals! i blew out a head gasket on my suv and was waiting to save some $ to fix while my husband used his truck for work. I didn't mind being w/o it on a temp basis but this morning my husband blew out his engine!!! So now the best thing would be for me to work so we could pay for all this mess...but again the problem of not having a vehical makes it impossible! so here's my ?... does any one work from home on those get pd for taking surveys...and does it work?!! and which website is the best? this is the only thing i could think of right now untill i get my suv back! the surveys is not the only thing that i had ?'s about mabey even data entry or something like that where i could stay at home! Any info would be greattly appreciated! Im desperate to find a way to contribute to our monthly income at home!

What can I do next?

A., I'm a little late at responding! I've been very busy lately. I just wanted to let you know that I've been working a business at home for 4 years now and absolutely love it. I love to help others be at home when that is their goal. Let me know if you would like to talk and learn what I am doing. It may or may not be for you, but there's no harm in taking a look! It's tough to find a work from home job that pays enough to be worth the time you put into it. I don't think taking surveys does. I have heard of some moms who answer phone calls during evening shifts for call centers - the calls are just forwarded to their home number during their shift.

One thing that wasn't mentioned was either having a huge garage sale, OR selling your old treasures on Ebay. Do you make anything that you could sell on Ebay?? Even if it's something that cost you $2 to make, but could get you $5, it's worth a try. You'd be amazed at what you could sell on there. Just an idea. Look to your talents, you might just find some income potential there!! If worst comes to worst, maybe finding a PT job in the evenings when your hubby is home, might be an option. Maybe something close by. Another idea is maybe thinking of a service you could offer your neighbors and make little fliers to distribute. It could be a great way to make new friends and make some $$ at the same time. Good luck!

I work for a company called LiveOps www.liveops.com doing phone calls. I actually take Pizza Hut orders and it pays pretty decent actually. However, it has to be a professional background meaning no barking dogs, birds, screaming kiddos, music, etc. which limits things for me. I usually do it when my 2 yr old is napping and then again for an hour or so once everyone has gone to bed. So that doesn't average out to many hours for me but it sure helps!! The only thing you do have to pay for with LiveOPs is a background check which was $20 I think. They also have direct sales calls on things you see on tv like knives, medicine, weight loss stuff, ovens, ets and those people make good money selling. I am not a sales person AT ALL so I decided to do the pizza.. sells itsself really. lol If you need any additional info, just holler and i will talk to you about it. :)

try this site!

Have you thought about your hubby getting a motorcycle? scary, i know, but we did it b/c he works so close.

Also, my husband knows quite a bit about cars. Are you sure you blew out both engines? it may be something more minor...

I know this is late....
Do not EVER pay to work from home. If some company asks you to pay, then it is NOT legitament. That web site that someone told you about, WAHM.com is a great site. They too state to never pay to work from home. Also be careful of giving your account numbers if someone wants to do a direct deposit. Maybe set up a total different bank account for that. wahm.com lists several jobs that are being offered at that time. The jobs come from craigslist.com Try that. Also, I do know that EBAY is a great way to make money. First start by selling some stuff from your house to get used to it. Then you can shop thrift stores, flea markets, etc. and resell the stuff. Also, you can tell friends and family that you will sell their stuff for them on ebay and take a percentage. I would suggest 30%-40% since you are doing all the work. Also, craigslist.com allows you to sell for free. Ebay does charge a very small amount.
I am also about to start selling stuff. We are in need of some extra income on a monthly basis so I too will start trying to sell stuff on ebay. Oh and most people fall into that "oh, no one would buy that" when it comes to ebay, just know this...One time a friend of mine looked up dog feces, yes DOG FECES and it was for sale!!!! So anything goes with EBAY.

A., Stay away from the surveys, been there done that and it's not worth it and certainly will not provide any substantial income. Beware of any business venture, data entry, etc. where they want you to spend money. I don't know what part of town you live in but there are a few ways I did make money at home and one of them has been mentioned. I worked as a plumbing dispatcher. The Master Plumber had his phones forwarded to my house and I answered them. You might contact different contractor's, because they would rather have someone answering the phone, using their business name versus "Plumbing Company"
and they believe they are talking with the office versus Answering Service. Another thing I did, was contact charities and churches and typed their Thank You notes for Christmas & Thanksgiving. I didn't start till end of February, but they were way behind. Arlington Charities, had 5 workers that needed their Thank You Notes sent out to their donator's. They gave me notes on who gave what and sent me home. I had to quit due to neck injury, but after 5 months, there was still an abundance of Thank You Notes to go out, because People & Companies, in our area give alot more than they are given credit for.
