Do you know of any good campgrounds or parks that would be fun to camp in with the kids?

What can I do next?

Loads of the people from here that would be the St. Bernard Elmwood Place area go to Winton Woods. Every Oct They St. Bernard group has a Halloween campout. Yhey decorate the campsites the kids dress up and then they recieve candy when they go trick or treating. Here in Elmwood the pat 2 falls they have had a family campout complete with a movie at our biggest park on Maple Street. It's in Oct as well. While I have never went camping with either group (my idea of camping out is Holiday Inn on the lake), I hear they have loads of fun. I get too cold since my quad-bypass and when the sun goes down I head inside to keep warm. Check with the county parks in Hamilton county or even state parks with the state or other counties. East Fork lake is nice so is Cesear (mispelled)Creek. Or even Huston Woods. My sister in law spent their honeymoon there. They are campers.

We have gone to Brookeville Lake in Indiana and enjoyed it. In the summer it is fun because they have a beach area that the kids love. Have fun wherever you go!

Our family camps about 2 weekends a month during the warm months. We really enjoy Stonelick State Park which is in Milford (off 131 I think). It is about 25 minutes off of the Milford Parkway exit off I-275. We also go to Eastfork, which is out 32. It is about 20 minutes off of the Batavia exit off I-275. Both have a playground, we prefer Stonelick. Both offer activities and Fri/Sat movies at the outdoor theater. They have full hook up sites for a camper or tent sites with electric hookup. These are the two local campgrounds that are easy and convenient to get to from where we live in Anderson Twp. Our family always has sooooo much fun camping, it gives us that "family" time that is hard to get when we are at home surrounded by the phone,tv,computer. Our kids are 6 and 2 and have camped since they were infants.

You can find all Ohio parks that offer camping at the Ohio State Parks website. This site is a great resource! I pasted the link below. Once at the site, you can find the "select a park" button to the right, under the main header. Hope you find a great place to enjoy with your family!! B.

Or family goes camping every holiday weekend. Some of the places we go are:

1) Little Farm on the River (near Argosy and Grand Vic Casinos)
2) Natural Springs Resort (New Paris, OH-just past Dayton near the Indiana border)
3) Rocky Fork State Park (Hillsboro, OH)
4) Cedarbrook Campground (Lebanon, OH)
5) Hueston Woods State Park (Oxford, OH)-we often go for the annual sugar maple festival in March

I know there are other places that we go to, but I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

Happy Camping!!!
