HI Moms! Have any of you gone to a prenatal chiropracter that you highly recommend? I'd also like a good recommendation for a prenantal massage therapist. My hips are KILLING me and I've been asked more than once "why I'm walking sideways?". I didn't even realize I was doing it! But my hips hurt so bad and I can't even run after my child if I have to chase him. I still have over 3 months to go and I'm taking care of a 1.5 yr old so cannot bear this discomfort any longer!! Either I need to have my hips aligned or I need a SERIOUS massage. I live in central Dallas area so somewhere close to me would be ideal but I'm willing to go further for the right person. I don't want to just pick a name out of the phone book. I'd like to go to someone(s) who has been tried and true. Thanks! :)

What can I do next?

I went to Hall family chiropractic. They are very kid freindly, run by a husband & wife & Dr. C has experiance with prenatal chiro care. She used to be the massage therapist as well, but I think she's cut back some since the twins. They do have a MT on staff, but I can't vouch for his prenatal experiance.

Hi Alex!

I am sorry you are going through such pain! I am a chiropractor and I have worked with numerous pregnant women over the years. I believe that pregnancy should be a time of joy, not a time of torture and pain. I have 2 locations. One in Plano at George Bush and Coit and another in Mesquite on Galloway between 30 and 80. We have a play area for the kids at both locations. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me at ###-###-####. Thanks!

Hi Alex...I recommend Dr. Suzan Smith. I went to her when I was in my fourth month and had just been in an auto accident. I ended up staying with her through the rest of the pregnancy and still go on occasion. She is in Carrollton and has very flexible scheduling availability, including having Saturday morning appointments.

As for massage therapy, I had a couple of really good sessions with Len at Massage Therapy in North Dallas. Since I had been in an accident, they required a permission notice from my doctor. I appreciated their thoroughness.

I go to Tree of Life in Allen. It's very family oriented they perform miracles :) I have 19 month old twins and I take care of a 9 month old during the day, so my head and back endure quite a lot. I have been going there for about a month now and no more headaches or back pain. They do prenatal care and children. My favorite part about this office is they have a play area for children, so I can take the babies with me every session. the play area is open to the office so they can see you while they play. I couldn't be happier. It's the easiest appointment I go to. They are Tree of Life Chiropractic in Allen.

I go to Dr Laboret at Lane Chiropractic. 13520 TI Blvd., Suite 110 Dallas, TX 75243 ###-###-####

I was diagonosed with SI Hip Dysfunction, went to 3 months of PT and NOTHING helped! I'm a runner, exercise instructor, personal trainer and a MOM! My hips are totally crooked and I understand your pain. I noticed an immediate change and I feel so much better. My hips are getting back into alignment after only a few sessions and there is no telling how long I have been like this (before pregnancy). Dr Laboret is a certified Pediatric Chiropracter and I know that he has some pregnant clients. They take most ins and they are very quick, friendly and resonably priced. Check him out - tell him that J. referred you!
