Searching for a FT Nanny

We have a 19-month old who has been attending an in-home day care but is currently home recovering from RSV and Bronchiolitis. He has pretty much recovered but we are keeping him out of daycare so that he can rebuild his immune system. My mother-in-law flew in and is here taking care of him for a month. I’m really enjoying that he is home and away from the risk of contracting any infections from other children. So, with that said we have really been talking about the idea of finding a nanny. We also have another daughter who is 7 years old and it would be great for her to be able to go home afterschool vs. staying at an afterschool program. If you know of anyone please contact me – We live in Highlands Ranch, CO. THANKS!

I have 3 kids (twins) and live in Littleton and we have had an au pair for the last 6 years so our kids could be at home and cared for. We have found this to be a very dependable form of childcare and much more like having a family member care for our children! For us the cost was an issue as well as it was only about $325 per week for all 3 kids and our au pair could work 45 hours per week and the schedule was flexible. If you want more info, let me know!

My name is Cortney and I am a Local Childcare Consultant for Colorado. It is a common misconception that hosting an au pair is costly and it takes a long time for the au pair to arrive to your home. I am pleased to share that for an average of $330.00 a week you can have flexible, affordable childcare with the benefits of a cultural exchange program.

Until 12amPST today I am able to offer you $1000 in savings, a waived $75 application fee, $275 waived selection fee, $500 discount on program fees as well as a $150 connection package at no cost to you. This means that you can apply and view available au pair candidates to meet your childcare needs risk free at no cost to you! Please let me know if you would be interested in receiving this promotional code.

Here are the costs if you apply by this Tuesday 2/16 12amPST:

FREE Application Fee
FREE, Selection Fee
$6,595 Program Fee
$195.75 Weekly Au Pair Stipend x 51 = $9983.25
_______________
$16578.25 / 51 weeks of care = $325.07 per week
$325.07 per week / 45 hours = $7.22/hour

Applying is easy! Please visit: http://www.culturalcare.com/HostFamilies/ApplyNow.aspx to start your online application. It will take you approximately 30 minutes to complete in its entirety. Upon submission of your application you will be connected to one of our experienced full-time matching specialists to help you select the best au pair candidate for your family. If you have questions about hosting an au pair, your childcare situation, a specific au pair profile, or regarding applying please email or call me directly! Sometimes, it is easier for families to discuss their childcare situation and the program details over the phone. I know that families are extremely busy and we can find a time that works best for you. Please feel free to contact me to either schedule an appointment and/or discuss your childcare needs. There are many caregivers out there---if you wanted to invest some time investigating profiles of potential nannies, I found mine through gonannies.com. You can search profiles without a membership but if you wanted to join you could make your own profile for nannies to contact you. You can also get an idea of what various nannies are asking for with regard to pay, benefits, experience, etc.

Another website that had a lot of individuals to chose from was care.com. I did place and ad on craigslist but, personally, did not have as much success and wasn't as impressed by the candidates.

If you don't have the time to look through profiles and interview, Premier Nannies here in Denver will find one for you. The good thing about this is they have already done the background check and if for some reason your nanny needs a fill-in (sick, out of town, etc.) they can provide one. I think their website is rentamom.com, but am not sure---I am sure it is google-able.

This was a seemingly ominous undertaking for me initially but I have been very pleased making the decision to hire a nanny---and finding her wasn't difficult as I thought it would be.

Best wishes.
