I was a member of a fruit/veggie co-op in my church when I lived in Irving. It was FANTASTIC! I'm missing all those great fruits/veggies and would love to find one in or around the Keller area. Does anyone know of one? Please let me know if you do!!! :)

I got curious about co-ops...the are often suggested on this site. I looked up for the Keller area and found this site. http://yourhealthsource.org/ I obviously can't vouch for them, but thought I would share the info. And we visit Homestead Farms in Keller pretty regularly, I wonder if they might have some information to share.http://homestead-farms.net/home/

We do www.yourhealthsource.org. I like it. We were part of one where we previously lived (CA) which was beyond wonderful. This one is not as good, but I still enjoy it. Basically it costs $50 every 2 weeks, and you go to a site of your choice to pick up the produce. You can also purchase extra veggie or fruit shares, depending on your family size and needs. You can order other dry goods such as olive oil, whole grains, grass fed beef and we also order raw milk through a local farmer which I pick up @ the same time as the produce. They offer recipes and sometimes classes on things like breadbaking. I still have to supplement a little, which I enjoy doing @ farmers markets whenever possible. Take a look! Hope this helps.

I've heard good things about Your Health Source, the former trainer at my husband's work fitness center was very into organic foods etc and he recommended them we just never got into it at the time as our 1st son was very little and there were only 2 of us eating fruit & veggies at the time. Also, Homestead Farms, they're on Keller-Hicks, you turn into their driveway and drive back a bit - if you think you're in the wrong location you're probably in the right place LOL. Also, there's a Farmer's Market every Saturday in front of Keller Town Hall it runs till 1 or 2 but you've got to get there early for the good stuff ;-)

Check out Greenling DFW. They offer free delivery to your door in Keller. Plus there are no contracts or membership fees.. Was a member of Your Health Source "Co-op" but switched to Greenling and have been much happier with the produce. Greenling also offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee. You could also check out Urban Acres Market. I think the Bountiful Baskets Food Co-ops plan looks like a legit way to start your own co-op.

Your Health Source seems popular. Azure Standard is organizing right now so contact them Asap if you want to participate. Write me back if you need links. I don't have them handy right this second.
