Currently, I reside in Katy but in the next few months I am planning on moving into Houston. I was looking in the galleria area at some apartment condos and found one I really love. My son will be starting school next year and Im worried about the school district. I was also looking around cyfair isd. Im also having a problem finding childcare. It seems everywhere I turn, they are full. I want to make the right decision in my move and am stuck on my what area of town. If someone could give me advice on the schools in the houston area and childcare for that area, I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much!
Hi I live in the Sugar Land area. I work at a Montessori School and my daughter goes there as well. It is a wonderful place to put your child. We have a preschool and Kindergarten program, and wonderful rates. Email me if you would be interested. Good Luck to you :)

Good luck on finding the perfect fit for your son with regard to schooling. It is such a process. My two children have spent the last 3 years in private school, but now attend a public Montessori school in the Montrose area. The area where we were zoned during the time my kids attended School of the Woods was 77024 and that was Hunters Creek (an EXCELLENT school).. we chose Montessori so didnt go this route, but I know some families who opted to take their children out of private school and attend Hunters Creek bc it was such a good school. Unfortunately I dont have any advice on childcare because I never used it. Possibly whatever school you choose will have an after care program.

CFISD is actually a school district people move to this state for. I am a graduate of CFISD and currently have 5 children in school here, one in high school and 4 in elementary. We could not be more pleased without going to private school which would eliminate TAKS (state mandated) guidelines for teaching. So much of what our children are learning now is guided by TAKS which ultimately funds one of the best school districts in Texas (CFISD). So, you asked for advice, HISD is much worse, good luck with this. KidsRKids is an incredible child care facility, and I am pleased to have had 4 of my children go there, I am fortunate enough to be able to stay at home with them now.
I moved my family to Copperfield specifically for the Cy-Fair schools. My son, who's four and will be starting Kindergarten in August, is currently at Cypress Montessori, near Cy-Falls HS. I love what they've done for him. He can read, write and do simple addition and subtraction. I would highly recommend it.
I just did the opposite move, from the Galleria area to Cy-fair. I do not like the hustle and bussle of that area and since I have a 1 year old and a 17 year old, I decided Cy-Fair has the best schools. Depending on where you are going in that area, choose wisely. The area is nice but the schools are very tough and the surrounding areas not very nice.
