I know a mom who has a 6 year old daughter who suffers from ASD(Autism Spectrum Disorder) and still undergoing diagnosing. This child is non-social in groups and has constant outbursts during certain church gatherings. The mom feels overwhelmed at times because she just don't know what to do when the child is out of control. Please help if you know of any groups in the South Suburban Area that can help this mom! The child is in a Special Autism School. The mom needs support on how to manage this child at home along with 3 other siblings(who are not Special Needs)!

What can I do next?

I would highly recommend calling Little Friends for Autism in Naperville. The phone number is ###-###-####. I have met some wonderful teachers and a great support group of moms. Good luck on your friend's journey.

My girlfriend has 4 daughters, all with autism. She gave me the following info to pass along to you.
The Austim Speaks Website is a great place to start. Here is the URL

http://www.autismspeaks.org/

On the front page, under Community, select resources, select "search the resource guide". You can get resources listed for your particular state by selecting off the map.
It's a place to start.

Hope that helps.
