Hi ladies,
I am searching for a great Baby Shower location. I am holding a double shower for my daughter and neice. I am expecting 30-60 people, (I hope). Is there such a place in or around Detroit? It would be great if the price was reasonable. It doesn't matter if they cater. Our family is full of cooks...:-)

What can I do next?

Hello S.,

My niece had her baby shower at the amvets hall post 57
19730 Harper Harper Woods ###-###-#### ( exit Allard) off 94. It is $300.00 for 4 hours and the hall sits at least 150-200. The people were very friendly and it is worth the money. I also used it for my husband repast in march and was able to get a last minute reservation. You are also able to bring in food from the outside and there is no cater required for the hall. Which will save on money for you and the family. I hope I helped you out.

Hello,

I had my baby shower this past July at Dimitiri Rendevous between 15 & 16 mile on Gratiot. I liked it, the food was really really good and they accomidated my group of like 55. They will let you do a little tour and give you info over the phone. There are a few pricing options as far as food goes.
My SIL is having hers at Peabodys in Birmingham.
MacRay harbor is really nice for showers tooo! My friend has had her showers there and the upstairs room over looks the water, but I am sure that was kinda pricy.
Ummm... Im trying to think of other showers I have been to, my cousin had hers at Rogers Roost, that was nice too..

Good luck!

I had my baby shower in the loft at the Southgate Civic Center. The room was decent for the price and we needed something reasonable pricewise, you have to decorate yourself etc & I had my friends/family bring in food items etc. It's $65 to rent with a $90 deposit.

Pasquali's in Royal Oak has a pretty reasonable menu and they include a room for your event.

The Roseville Masonic Temple on Gratiot and 11 mile next to national coney is a nice little hall. They have a kitchen and if i'm not mistaken it was around $175 or $200. If you're interested you can check information or i'll see if i can find the flier i had for the hall.

S.,

I've been to so many with my huge family and friends I'll give you the main locations for several of the ones I've attended. The YMCA/YWCA on Grand River and Beech Daly (in Redford) was very cheap. A few people in my family are auto workers so we've held some at the local union hall where they can rent the room with the deposit only I think. Or if you know anyone that lives in a nice apartment complex, they usually have really nice club houses with a kitchen and everything where the deposit is anywhere from $200-$400 but you get it back. A church is another good option as stated before but that does depend on what type of shower you intend to have.

You have a lot of great options from everyone, and yes Juliano's is nice as well.

Good luck!
