Seeking FREE Playgroups in SE PDX

Hey all, I've got a three year old boy and an almost one year old girl. I've been looking for free playgroups with other kids their age. Everything I've found is either something you have to pay to attend, or the moms are so tight that they don't really want any additions to their groups. I'm looking for moms that want to have fun....play at the park when the weather is nice, do picnics, have playdates when the weather is nasty at homes or fast food places or community centers, etc. Does anyone know if this exists in our area??

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Let's get a play group going. I'm in SE Portland (borderline Gresham). Some of the places we've gone on icky days - Children's Museum (but our membership ran out...debating if I'll renew there or at OMSI), the zoo can be fun if it's not raining, the community center (the one by Mall 205), the library (don't go as often as I used to though) and of course places like McDonald's and Chuck-E-Cheese....so those are some ideas. And the old stand by on overcast or sunny days is parks, parks, parks...and we have a ton of them around! :0)

Let me know if anyone is available. My current schedule only allows me Mondays off (through November) and then after that I'm able to pick when I work a little more. So if Monday afternoons work for anyone email me (____@____.com) and we'll set up some playdates.

I usually go to Mt Scott as soon as it starts raining. It's only $1 per child, so not free but pretty cheap.
I also meet with a mom's group most weeks, I have a 2.5 year old and most of them have 1 year olds or less, so I am sure my daughter would like to have a 3 year old around. We go to parks, or coffee shops usually. I also have an art playgroup at my house on Fridays. Most of kids are in the 2's almost 3 age group.
Storytime at the library is free and we try to do that every week. Woodstock library is great, don't know how far you are.

If you want send me a message and I can let you know when we meet next.

Lets start our own!! We usually go to Mt Scott during the crappy weather for the indoor park playtime. I have a son that is almost 3, and he loves to be out/in anyhwere there is other kids.
I just started my own business too, and have a busy schedule also.. but hoping the next month or so I will have a real schedule..
email me if you wanna set up a time to meet up with the kids..

I have older boys, but my daughter is 8 months old and I've been hoping to find someone for her to "learn" with. Free would be a very good price these days! I've looked into the playgroups and mom's clubs but again, there's no one with my child's age specifically. Would love to find out what you come up with!

I have a energetic 3 yr old little girl who would love to have other playmates. I've been trying for a long time to set up playgroups. I would love to meet other moms as well. I live in the Gresham area.
