I am more than a little lost sifting through all the online scams & classifieds that require hundreds of dollars to start up a work from home job. The ads all start like "All you need is a computer" but really want your money. I believe that a valid employer offering home based employment will not charge the employee any fees & should pay for all costs incurred in the set up of the home based office and any business expenses like extra phone lines, internet monthly access fees, etc. Am I just dreaming or are there legit home based jobs out there other than self-employment? I am looking to provide "office support" in any capacity that my job skills can provide. Interested in working from home 12-15 hours per week and willing to go into the office if needed on occassion. I have 14 years of sales/customer service/marketing and account management experience including MS Office knowledge and database management experience. I possess a great work ethic and need some extra income for our family. Help...Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi Judy -
I left my job in advertising/marketing about 6 months ago to be a stay-at-home mom and have found Baby Splendor to be a nice source of extra income. I'm an Independent Consultant for them -- they're similar to Tupperware and Pampered Chef except all of the products are fun, innovative baby and kids items! All of the products are sold through home parties or catalog/web sales. Take a peek at the products at my website -- www.susiemaryellen.mybabysplendor.com.

Baby Splendor is a member of the Direct Selling Association. They were also recently written about in BusinessWeek magazine -- I can send you a copy of the article if you'd like. There are minimal fees for your starter kit which includes catalogs, brochures, 10 products and a training manual. It costs $149 to start but you only have to put $25 down. The balance is due after 30 days.

If you decide to become a consultant, you earn a minimum of 25% commission on all of your sales. There are no monthly minimums or sales quotas. The products are fantastic (I use practically all of them with my 1-year old son) and they really do sell themselves.

I can provide you with more information if you're interested in learning more. You can e-mail me at ____@____.com.

Hi Judy!!! I would love to help you with your working need, but I would like to let you know of a few things first. Start up costs are almost always yours, but they are all tax deductable. You are smart to be careful of the many online scams that are out there. I run a home based business and work 12ish hours per week (NEVER exceding 18) and care for my beautiful 8 month old girl. My company is a member of the Direct Selling Association, which has strict member standards. I would like to invite you to view my website and get more information. www.shellystone.myarbonne.com Arbonne International is the fastest growing DSA member and our CEO Bob Henery was just named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2006. We are hard working moms doing a get rich slow. Arbonne is a real business opportunity with endless support and training. Call me anytime you might have questions. ###-###-####

Hi Judy,

It sounds like you are looking for a job you can work from home. Most of the what you will find online are home based businesses, which, of course require some sort of investment and many are scams. I started my own home based business with an International Wellness Company almost 4 years ago and I am now working from home full-time. I am looking for a partner and if you are at all interested, I would love to talk with you.

Hi Judy,
I am an Independent Sales Consultant for a great company, Natural Family Boutique. It is a direct sales company that sells slings, cloth diapers, HABA Toys, and other great parenting probucts. It is similar in style to Osbourne Books and Tupperware in that you do at home parties, but NFB allows you to due cataloge parties and you have a personal url online so that you can sell on-line. You have no sales area you can sell to anyone anywhere in the U.S. To join the company you can buy a Mini Kit which includes 40 order forms, 30 catalogs, a sales book explaining the company and policies, and a assortment of products...you can pay for it in 2 instalments and it is $99. I love this company and use a ton of the product in my own home and have save a lot of money buying from myself at the consultant rate. I would be very happy to answer any questions you have. Please feel free to call me or e-mail me. ###-###-#### ____@____.com
