PEPS. PEPS, PEPS. Easy way to get connected...different types of groups. We should really sign up for this in our pregnancy if possible, but they have groups forming all the time. Other thing to consider is a fitness type thing like Strollerstrides in your area and Meet Up.com

I second Andrea A. The Snugglers class at Evergreen Hospital is fabulous (and free for 0-3 months). I started a playgroup with some of the women I met there after my first daughter was born and now, 7 years later, we still get together once or twice a month. Having the common support is priceless. I highly recommend the class...

Look into a PEPS Group. I joined one after my daughter was born and it was easily the best thing I ever did. Loved it and still have many friends from my group. http://www.peps.org/

Evergreen baby groups are also a great thing, as the previous posters mentioned.

Hang in there!

My first born was an hourly feeder around the clock those first few weeks so I know how exhausted you are. Evergreen hospital has a parent/baby group that meets a couple times a week. It is free for 0-3 months. After 11 years I still keep in touch with the group of mommies I met there. It is a wonderful place to be supported. The staff facilitators and the community of mommies there saved my sanity time and again that first year. Also, Evergreen has another support group called "This is not what I expected". Hang in there!
