I'll give another vote for www.meetup.com - you're sure to find a group in your area.

Hi K.,

I am part of a great moms group in the area called Mom-2-Mom. We have members from CL, Woodstock, Algonquin, Carpentersville, Elgin, Hampshire and surrounding areas. If you would like more information on our group, you can email me at ____@____.com can also try a local church or check out meetup.com.

There is a great program at First Baptist Church in Geneva called Mom's Together. They feed you and there is childcare. It meets once a month from 9:15-11:15. The fee is $6 and $8 with child. There is a different subject each month with awesome guest speakers. Not churchy!!!
We would love to have you.

I recommend parents as teachers to everyone. It is not technically a mom's group, more a play group but it is awesome. You can also have them come and do monthly assessments and give you tips on how to help your child's development. Their website is www.parentsasteachers.org

Check out Spring HIll Gymnastics Open Gyms! There are lots of opportunities to meet other Moms and your kids socialize and get some fun excersize!! Ask for coach Rachel K.! She is in a Moms group.

I saw a sign on this church on Bowes (just West of the little strip mall where the 7-11 is) that said they have a moms of all ages support group. I can't remember the church's name but it is the only one on Bowes between McLean and Randall, but closer to McLean. Hope this helps you a little bit! =]
