Seeking OBGYN and Internal Medicine Doctors in SW Portland/Tigard/Lake Oswego

It's a bit out of the way, but I have an internal med doctor throught the center for women's health at OHSU. You pay a set rate based on your age and all of the visits with the doctor are covered (regardless of what your insurance pays---read...no copays). It also covers the routine yearly visits for preventative health. The best part is that they limit the number of patients each doctor has so you can always reach your doctor...you even get their pager number and direct line to the nurse. I see Heather Baskin and she's wonderful. Oh, did I mention the appointments are a standard half hour and the first one is as much as an hour. Talk about actually taking the time to really examine your history and actually listen. I'm 32 and the yearly fee is $250--it seems like a lot, but think about the last time you could spend an hour with your doc and not pay any copays!

He is an awesome listener and never makes you feel rushed. His nurse, Edie is great also. I know four other women that go to him and they love him. 3 of the women had a baby under his care.
