Hi all, once again i am looking for referrals. I am so grateful to everyone that has already referred me to a hair salon and a pedi! so thank you! Now I am looking for an OBGYN and a Doctor of Internal Medicine (or just a basic Dr. that goes over everything with you).

I like things as natural as possible but I do have PCOS! So please if you have any suggestions or great experiences, please let me know!!

Thank you!
A.

It's a bit out of the way, but I have an internal med doctor throught the center for women's health at OHSU. You pay a set rate based on your age and all of the visits with the doctor are covered (regardless of what your insurance pays---read...no copays). It also covers the routine yearly visits for preventative health. The best part is that they limit the number of patients each doctor has so you can always reach your doctor...you even get their pager number and direct line to the nurse. I see Heather Baskin and she's wonderful. Oh, did I mention the appointments are a standard half hour and the first one is as much as an hour. Talk about actually taking the time to really examine your history and actually listen. I'm 32 and the yearly fee is $250--it seems like a lot, but think about the last time you could spend an hour with your doc and not pay any copays!

Hi A.. I LOVE my OBGYN. He is with Portland Women's Clinic next to St. Vincents Hospital in SW Portland, near Hwy 26. His name is Dr. Hoffman. His number is ###-###-####. He is an awesome listener and never makes you feel rushed. His nurse, Edie is great also. I know four other women that go to him and they love him. 3 of the women had a baby under his care. Good luck in your search!
