My son will be 7 next month. He's been having runny and stuffy nose almost every day since he was 2. It's very hard to hear his snoring and watch him breathing through his mouth every single night. He has allergy and his pediatrician seems not very concerned. I want second opinion, so I'd like to turn to otolaryngologist for help. Could anyone recommand good doctor for us? We live in the cedar mill area. Thank you!

My suggestion is to see an allergist. Dr. Michael Osbourne is brilliant. We did not get any answers with my son's pediatrician except for "he has a virus". We've gotten a lot more answers to our questions and piece of mind from Dr. Osbourne.

Have you had him tested for food allergies? If he's allergic to dairy or wheat this could be a symptom.

I think your son probably has food allergies. I think that a naturopathic doctor would be a better place to start. The MD will just put your child on drugs. If you are interested in a more holistic and natural approach try a naturopath. Lots in the area, just look in the phone book. Best of luck to you. ALso, the most common allergies are dairy and wheat so you could try having your son not eat any of these foods for two weeks and see how he does.

Dr. Wesley Lewis in NW PDX. He's great. He was my son's Doctor for tonsil problems, and well as my own Doctor. I know a lot of people that really like him. He's easy to talk to, and treats patients and parents with respect.
