I was driving in the Deer Park Pasadena area & passed a church, on its sign it said they were having powerful services.I cannot remember where this church was located (nor the name)
I am looking for a spirit filled full gospel church, with GOOD praise & worship, the kind where God's spirit starts moving from the worship.Not a 15 minute worship service! & Not one that uses the old hymn books. Im attending an local church now, but am looking for something "deeper". I want to attend a church where's the gifts flow, & is on FIRE for GOD! With great childrens church & something for teenagers. Prefer the area around Deer Park/Pasadena. Possibly Laporte,just depends on the servies. I do not want a long drive, it takes me time to get all the kids ready each morning. Any recommendations will be appreciated & considered.
I have gotten some great replies with church referrals. Thanks to each of you for taking the time to tell me about each church & their services! Im not sure which one we will try out but I am praying for direction. At least now I have specific names to to mention in my prayers for specific direction. Blessings to each of you!

You just found it!!! Try Life Community Church in La Porte. The address is 9529 Fairmont Parkway, La Porte TX 77571. The website is http://www.lifecommunitychurch.org/. It is wonderful!!!! We drive all the way from the League City/Kemah area to attend here. We like it that much.
My husband and I feel the same about praise & worship. A couple of the churches we tried were just not up-beat or energetic enough. But this one is. We usually sing about 4 songs during our praise & worship time. It lasts approximately 30 minutes (sometimes a little more and sometimes a little less). Our pastor always says "Its the PEOPLE that make a church!" and that is true of our church. The people are so friendly. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved if that is something you are interested in.
We have 2 children young enough to go to the children's church and they absolutely LOVE it! They like it the best of the 4 churches we had tried. There is a nursery for newborns to 2 year olds, Kings Kids is for 3 - 5 year olds and Jam Zone is for 1st - 6th graders. They dont do anything for teenagers during their weekend services, but they do during their Wednesday night service. They do other things for teenagers as well, I am just not quite familiar with them. We only have our kids every other weekend so our teenager doesn't really get to get involved with it all.
Their services are Sundays at 10:00, Wednesdays at 7:00, and Saturdays at 6:00. We LOVE the Saturday night service, because as you said, it takes some time to get all of the kids ready and going! We have found it much easier to get them to the Saturday night service than the Sunday morning. Please come one day to check it out. I'll bet you'll love it!!!

Well, if you feel like coming to Baytown, I love my church! The people are awesome and we definitely are on fire for God. There's never a boring service! Our youth program for the teenagers is awesome and our Sunday School department is great too! In fact, I am a Sunday School teacher and at the end of the month, we are bringing the 4-8 year olds that said their special memory verse to the zoo. We are basically a young church so though we may sing some old hymns from time to time, our leaders in the music department are always on top of the new music. Come visit if you would like! We would treat you just like family (or better if you have a family like mine... LOL!) I will be in prayer for you that God will send you to a church will you will grow and prosper in the truth! Try Church of the Living Water.... 4325 West Pasadena Blvd in Deer Park. Right down the street from the Junior high and elementary school. Between Georgia and Redbluff...
I am very encouraged by your sincere search for a home church. I attend an awesome church right in between La Porte and Deer Park. New Life Christian Fellowship. 2104 Underwood. Awesome Spirit filled worship experience. Broad music styles. The gifts and fruit of the Spirit are moving in everything from healing to the prophetic. High energy kids and youth programs, and very large evangelism and missions work. A church on fire to not just have church but be the body of Christ to a world in darkness. The Holy Spirit is what makes a church powerful - not good music, charismatic speakers, or programs. Although we have these things, there is no substitute for the anointing! If you haven't found a home yet... God's purpose for you in the local church is waiting.

I used to attend and found that the praise and worship is very moving and fulfilling. I live in Pearland and the drive became to much with the kids, so I found a church closer to home. I will occasionally go back to Clearpoint, since I have friends there and I come out of there feeling rejuvenated. The worship leader there "Jerry" is awesome. Good luck in your searching.
