Any of the docs at Central Phoenix Women's Health Care on 3rd Street and Osborne are great! I have seen Dr. Hahn and Dr. Spieker and they are both wonderful.

I know you are looking for an ob/gyn and I wish I could recommend the lady that delivered my son last year but, she moved out of state. I just wanted to back the post up about Great Destinations Pediatrics. They are amazing. We had been going to Cactus Childrens Clinic but, had a REALLY horrible experience with one of the doctors there. (she wasnt our main doctor so I had a hard time making the decision to leave because our main doc was amazing) but,we did leave and see Dr Prentice normally or Dr Lombard and both have been amazing! Dr Prentice is a mother of 3 and has a good manner with us and especially the kids.

Desert West OBGYN is great! I love Dr. Apigo. She has left the practice and moved somewhere downtown I think. I would recommend her first (I don'tknow where you live). If you want the west valley Desert West has two locations. Everyone there is great! Really. Phone# ###-###-####. And also west side pediatrician (you will need to find one of those too) Cactus Childrens Clinic I highly recomend! Phone# ###-###-####.

I enjoy caring for women, http://caringforwomenpc.com/

The most important thing is that you are listened to. I've had too many, and heard of too many women realizing after the fact that they should have just stuck to their guns. Too many drs out there believe that because of their education that they don't need to listen to mother's intuition. Don't be afraid to ask for anything you feel you want or should have and if you start feeling pressured or confused, stop! Bring your hubby or mom or friend that's been through this before to help you get a perspective on things.
I'm not trying to scare you. Even the bad experiences are learning times, but have an advocate. And ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT! What's the worse that can happen they say no. Make them explain why and if you don't like the answer switch doctors. You have no obligation to stay with your first or second choice. Everyone is different and your best friends dr whom she loved may not be the right fit for you.
Enjoy every moment, even the morning sickness will give you something to laugh about on playdates.

Hi S.,
Congratulations!
If you are in Phx, please consider Dr Bruce Culbertson off of Thomas & 5th St. I did rounds as a nursing student with him 10 yrs ago & adored his bedside manor so much I vowed to look him up when I had babies. Well my sweet girl is 14 mo old now & he was the most gentle caring Dr I could have ever have hoped for. I dont even live near his office, but drove there faithfully. His staff is wonderful & I couldnt have asked for more. My daughter had a condition requiring surgery & I panicked on the c-section table..anyway, his calm voice talked me through it all. I remember wrapping my hand around his finger like a child during the epidural as I was so afraid for my baby & what she was going to go through.
He delivers at St Josephs & everyone there along with the NICU was amazing.
good luck!

Dr. Jaacks just delivered my youngest son last April. She is so caring and will answer ALL your questions and totally happy about being there. After birth she comes into your room and has an awesome bedside manner.

57th Ave & T-Bird

If you need a good Pediatrician we love Great Destinations Pediatrics. We have seen all the doctors there; however, favor Dr. Hineman
